NICAN TLACA RESISTE
PREPARED TO KILL MEXICANS
THE AMERICAN BORDER PATROL AND ANTI-IMMIGRANT SENTIMENT IN THE U.S

The American Border Patrol is a vigilante organization which seeks to eliminate immigration by Mexicans into the U.S, and establish white superiority within its borders. They seek to accomplish this task by patrolling the border and reporting any suspected illegal immigrants to the INS, or by illegally detaining immigrants themselves by using fire arms and sophisticated equipment such as night vision. The American Border Patrol is led by Glenn Spencer a citizen of California who has spread his reactionary anti-immigrant philosophy over the airways of KIEV 870.
In May of 2000, Glenn Spencer moved to Cochise county on the border of Arizona and Mexico to meet up with Roger Barnett a Rancher who shared the anti-immigrant views of Spencer. The group published a flyer with the heading of “Fun in the Sun” which invited people to camp out on their ranches in their cars, bus’s or RV’s free of cost in exchange for their services as vigilantes in search of detaining immigrants. Because of this hundreds of Mexicans were captured, many were injured, and some lost their lives. Roger Barnett told USA today that they were “prepared to kill Mexicans”.
On the morning of May 12, 2000, two Arizona ranchers on horseback, armed with high power hunting rifles shot and critically wounded an undocumented Mexican worker attempting to cross the border near Sasabe, Arizona. Four other young men accompanying 20 year old Miguel Angel Palofox Aguerrin of Guasave, Sinaloa were also shot at by the vigilantes. Miguel and four of his companions came under lethal attack by two Anglos on horseback porting side arms and high power hunting rifles. Miguel Angel Palofox Aguerrin stated that his group was suddenly ambushed by the two vigilantes on horseback. He was shot on the face. The bullet tore through his neck and exited through his ear.
On Saturday May 13, 2000, Glenn Spencer, vigilante Roger Barnett and a group of anti-immigrant terrorists met at the Windemere Hotel in Sierra Vista, Arizona to discuss strategies that would deter Mexicans from crossing the border to work. One proposal that was made public was the placement of "military land mines" along pathways used by the immigrants. The threat had the effect of forcing the immigrants to take more dangerous routes across the arid hot desert regions of Arizona. This caused the death from thirst of a great number of immigrant workers, including the death of a young mother. The 19 year old mother gave all her water to her months old baby daughter. Her dead body was found shielding her still alive baby from the hot sun.“The biggest concern I have with illegal immigration is one that is very rarely mentioned-the effect of illegal alien children on US children and on the country as a whole. When more illegal immigration is promoted we always hear about them "just doing the jobs Americans won't do" Are the children of illegals also going to be doing these jobs? Won't they be flooding our schools, impacting our culture in ways we can't imagine yet, and eventually need places of their own to live? Will the economy and resources grow fast enough to keep up with the population growth? Since illegals have more children that Americans shouldn't we examine whether their ideas, culture, behavior, etc and determine whether or not we should be replacing Americans with them?”
The latter comment is blatantly racist, yet it brings out the concerns of mainstream society of a whole. This person is afraid not of a “Black Planet” as Chuck D put it, but of a Brown planet. This person attacks Mexican-American students, children, just because they are Mexican. This person admonishes whites to think about how these brown children will negatively influence their white children. The analysis of right wing conservatives is narrow and self serving. In truth, Anglo Americans forced their society and culture unto what is now North America. In truth, they are the immigrants, they are the invader who to this continue to rob the lands of the Native Dine and the Shoshone tribes in order to make way for their oil rig and mining operations. One would not describe the Anglo as the invader if he/she would not continue the persecution and exploitation of a downtrodden people for hundreds of years. People of all colors must resist the illegal actions of the American Border Patrol, for we are not dealing -

RAZA WAKE UP!!
According to United States history, the Vietnam War was considered one of the most controversial and deadliest wars to ever occur.  Some critics are currently comparing the war in Iraq to the Vietnam War and finding many similarities.  Critics also state that President Bush is losing credibility and that the U.S. military stronghold is weakening in Iraq.  However, during the latest public appearance by President Bush, he states that the occupation of Iraq has no similar attributes to the war in Vietnam.  Coincidentally, after analyzing the evidence of both wars, it is astonishing, and somewhat heart wrenching, to admit that President Bush might be correct because the current situation is gruesomely worse.
It is true that both wars do not match-up and are not similar.  For instance, in the first three years of the Vietnam War, there were only approximately 100 U.S. casualties.  Compare that to the current war in Iraq where over 600 U.S. casualties have fallen in the first year.  During the Vietnam War, 20% of the casualties were considered Chicano/Latino. Now, if we evaluate the current percentage of casualties and the Chicano/Latino casualties of the Vietnam War, we will discover that it has risen by 10%.  According to the latest reports, Chicano/Latino soldiers are over represented in war casualties:  after one year of the U.S. occupation in Iraq, 30% of the war casualties have been Chicano/Latino soldiers.    Moreover, the Chicano/Latino casualties from both wars are over represented from that of their national representation of approximately 14%.For some people, the increase of percentages might seem normal since the Chicano/Latino population has dramatically increased since the 1960’s.  For example, the Chicano/Latino prison population has also increased to almost half of the total prison population in California.  However, for a Chicano, these increases might signify the continual attempt to genocide a native race by the U.S. government.  If this analyzes seems far-fetched, then why has the percentage of Chicano/Latinos admitted to the California University system been stagnated for a decade at 9%?  As a result, the percentage of University admittance is significantly lower than the 40% Chicano/Latinos represent in California.  Also, why is it that, when it comes to wartime against a so-called oppressor, like Sadam Hussein, it is considered everyone’s war? Yet, when Chicano/Latinos are purposely excluded and oppressed from entering the Universities of California, it is considered only a war for the Chicano/Latino community.  Hence, the Chicano/Latino community is left alone to struggle and to empower itself, and fight against the racism that is evident from the attempted genocide by the U.S. government.
Can we be so ignorant to believe the patriotic fallacies of the United States? We cannot be manipulated while our Chicano youth continue to die for a government that has been officially at war against our Raza since 1846.  Let us not be fooled, RISE UP RAZA!!!During the era of Manifest Destiny (1830‘s), Samuel Houston, an American hero, once said that Mexicans were no better than the Indians and that the United States should also take their land away.  Due to the imperialist ideology of the United States during the era of Manifest Destiny, vigilantes scalped many Mexicanos for U.S. dollars.  Also, after the Mexican-American War of 1848, Mexicanos were displaced from their ancestral lands and according to government records; over 800 Mexican Land Grants were nullified and then occupied by Anglo invaders.  Subsequently, Mexicanos lost their rights to the land.  This unjust transfer of land ownership was savagely manipulated and controlled by the corrupt and fraudulent American Justice System that many Americans, including Chicanos, now defend by imposing war on the world.
However, Chicanos need to understand that after 150 years of U.S. occupation of the Southwest, Mexicanos continue to be treated as second-class citizens and are considered “Illegal Aliens.”  Also, Chicanos need to know that President Bush and his administration are continuing the plans of savage imperialism in Iraq that was once experienced by Mexicanos in the Southwest during the 1830‘s.  Thus, the facts mentioned in this article only scratch the surface of the Master Plan the U.S. government has in store for our Raza, and this is why members of Nican Tlaca feel that no citizen of Mexican descent should be fighting in Iraq for President “War Monger” Bush and his oil sucking administration.  -
