Sid Meier's Civilization II Legacy Continues

Welcome to a recreation of the Official Microprose Civilization II website. I have taken the time to recreate this site to provide support and basics as well as to make it a "link memorial" to the official Microprose Civilization II website we all know to be a dead link. I recommend that all Civilization series website link to this site to update to their 'dead' Microprose Civilization II site links. On this site, you will find all of the official updates that were originally available when the former Microprose site was up and running. Essentially, the reasons the Microprose site was shut down were as follows:

lack of traffic
Microprose webmaster abandoned it
costs to provide support
Microprose resources traded to new games
site was hacked sometime in 1999

I know that the site provided information, screenshots and downloads that fans have recreated on their own sites. However, there really isn't anything like going to the site that officially supports the game and getting a feel for what was intended. If anyone has a screenshot or background, graphic or anything from the old site that will make this page more accurate then please contact the webmaster asap.
