In 1989 I was given a copy of this story, which was compiled in Alliance, OH in 1965, by Orley E. Brown (who passed away in 1986), and other descendants, from several manuscripts and accounts of Jonathan's story.

(an Ashland (Ohio) Press serial story which appeared starting with the issue of
Jan. 26, 1882 and apearing in consecutive issues of that four-page weekly
through April 6, 1882.)
