Our shop is located in the National Historic Riverfront District of Bonaparte, Iowa. Bonaparte is the smallest Main Street community in the United States...
Bill and I have collected and dabbled in antiques for many years. We had the opportunity to start our retail business in 1999 and have continued it ever since. We carry a variety of antiques and collectibles, including furniture, glassware, primitive tools and kitchen utensils, comics, old tin ceiling tiles, etc.
We have 3 adult children who are active in our business, both in the buying and selling capacities. We also have 4 grandchildren that you might see at any given time in our shop behind the counter, sweeping the floor, dusting or just greeting you with their infectious smiles.
Bill is the predominate buyer for our business. In his spare time he is the local handyman, doing various carpentry and electrical jobs around the community. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Besides being a very avid reader, outside the shop I enjoy genealogy and spending time with my family. Our oldest granddaughter is learning challenged and because of her, I have become a "roadie" with the Harmony Rockets Special Olympics athletes.
