THE ROAD TO A CLEANER EARTH....

IS "JUST WITHIN REACH"

"Show me a reason, give me a sign, tell me the way we fall out of line, is it today or is it tonight we'll find the answer to our life.........
So tell me why we have to cry and not try? When there's so many things we can do help this troubled world start anew...."

First let me say that this is NOT an official JWR project and I am in no way affiliated with them.  I have been told, however, that JUST WITHIN REACH will gladly accept any donations made through the efforts of private projects like this even though they cannot endorse them officially.  My name is Linda and I am concerned about the environment and this is a wonderful cause to get involved in!

Kevin Richardson founded "Just within Reach" to help educate people about environmental issues that can directly affect each and everyone of us so that we may take steps toward improving the Earth's health as well as the health of all living things.

I am a fan of the Backstreet Boys but more important than that, I support Kevin Richardson in his efforts to make this a better planet for all of us to live on.

Picture of Kevin on Capitol hill on April 4th, speaking out in support of the Colorectal Cancer Act.

Excerpt from an article in the Washington Post the next day:

"I'm used to talking about music more than I am about political matters and getting bills passed, but this is a subject that's close to my heart," said Kevin.

His dad, Jerald Wayne Richardson, died in 1991 at age 49 of the cancer, but might have been saved if the law had required insurance companies to pay for expensive colorectal cancer screenings.

"If found in the early stages, 91% of cases are curable" Kevin said. "By the time they diagnosed my father, there was a tumor the size of a large orange in his abdomen.  Alot of people can't afford the $1500 or $2000 it costs for this screening."

Thank you to my dear friend, RITA,  for sending me that newspaper clipping!!!

I am proud of what Kevin is trying to achieve and I hope to be able to make a nice donation to his foundation through this project.

We all need to spread Kevin's message out there, its very important for our children as well as our grandchildren that we preserve our earth for THEM.

Kevin has a message to us all on the official Backstreet Boys website.

Please take a moment to read it and then come back to read more about my plans for these shirts!
