6.3 Three - strands eye splice
  An eye splice is the way to form a permanent loop in the end of a rope and is used more often than any other type of splice. 
  The strands are unlaid, a loop of suitable size formed and the three strands are spliced or worked in and out of the rope, usually under and over.
