| Colorado topped headlines in the summer of 2002 for the spectacular fires that incinerated many forest lands and even consumed parts of some communities. These photos are taken right from our yard! We evacuated the horses (due to the smoke and ash in the air) and even packed up valuables (just in case). But, the fire stopped just south of the town of Redvale.
