Negroes
Negroes sit around and debate.
Negroes discuss and analyze and
attempt to dissect and breakdown in order
to devise a master plan, but
Negroes are mostly talk.
Negroes are public figures shielded by the
podium of injustice, corruption, untruth
or just half-truths, and
Negroes spend too much time dreamin'.
Negroes live their lives believin' in fantastic
unrealities that don't knock on doors simply
because you keep askin' and wishin', and
Negroes are too damned defensive.
Negroes take offense to anything and jump
from one complaint to another and fail to
realize the subject of matter, and
Negroes would much rather sit.
Negroes don't get out and participate in the
revolution as it is brewin', when it gets
goin' simply because
Negroes can't stop arguing.
Negroes continue harboring past hurt and
instead of brushing off the dirt they choose
to try swimming in the mud, but
Black folk, beautiful, diverse Black folk, please step
up to the plate and bury that Negro mentality.
