Short dresses, fake hair, false nails, fake eyes
Thy own true self do you even recognize?
Proud to be black, proud of who the creator made
If this is the case then why do you behave
As if youre shame of your true roots
your nappy hair and thick lips
your broad nose,dark eyes, and wide hips
Why do you work so hard to change your apperance
Looking to the other man for reassurance
Believing when they say that straight hair is good
But the one you call Jesus had hair like lambs wool
Believing that blonds have more fun
but arent they the ones who cant live under the sun?
Believing that blue or green eyes is in
making you wish for another shade of skin
Programmed you to hate your own culture
mentally dead, left you for the vultures
Picked your spirituality gave you Christianity
Instead of questioning, Got you believin
No longer do we accept or acknowledge our Godliness
For our creators made us in their image and after their likeness
We no longer live as women of royalty
Weve allowed ourselves to be belittled,pimped, and treated badly
We abuse our bodily temple with sex and drugs
and we address our men not as Gods but as thugs
We give our men no reason to relearn respect
Instead weve learned to jump from one partner to the next
Thinkin weve mastered some kind of game
When all weve done is ruin the nubian womans name
We are the Mothers of this planet called earth
And its time to show our children our TRUE worth
So Stand PROUD and STRONG of who you are
