Dragon after dragon appeared, some with multiple heads or tails, others with no wings. Most of them chose riders, though some stayed unbonded. Taisser watched the many-headed hydras with particular interest. The light continuously dimmed, and finally extinguished as a giant dragon appeared, finally choosing a young woman after much conversation.
Most of the eggs had hatched already, and there were only a handful of candidates left. Taisser shifted impatiently; by now, he just wanted to get this over with, whether he bonded a dragon or not.
A large white beast emerged from Odir's clutch, shaking both it's horned heads. Black and silver flames covered part of the heads, the tips of the wings and tail, and lower parts of the legs, creating a siamese pattern. That was certainly new.
The hydra made it's way over to the candidates. Taisser! He heard the dragon speak to him. Taisser! A second, slightly deeper voice spoke from the same body as the two heads glared at each other.
Pick me! The first head pleaded as the other head snarled at it. No, pick me!
Taisser just grinned wildly as he walked to the argueing hydra. "I'll take both of you, Tai'nix." He said, escorting his bond off the sands.
Both heads continued to argue with each other the entire time.
