Agreement for Participation in Martial Activities
and Release from Liability

  1. The individual interested in participating in Martial Activities (as discussed further below),

    and, if that applicant is a minor or otherwise not legally capable of forming a contract, the legal guardian of the applicant,

    (hereafter included in any reference to "the applicant" as necessary)
    do hereby state the following:

That the applicant wishes to participate in Martial Activities (as defined by the pertinent rules of "The Red Kaganate" and also referenced here as "combat" or "training") carried out by and under the name of "The Red Kaganate" association, its members and associates, their heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns (also referenced here as "The Red Kaganate").

  3. In consideration for allowing the applicant to participate in these activities, the applicant hereby agrees:

To release from liability, agree to indemnify, and hold harmless from all actions, causes of action, suits, debts, dues, sums of money, accounts, reckonings, bonds, bills, specialties, covenants, contracts, controversies, agreements, promises, variances, trespasses, damages, judgments, extents, executions, claims, and demand whatsoever, in law, admiralty, or equity which may arise against the Red Kaganate directly or indirectly with respect to the applicant's participation in said activities.

  5. To abide by all rules, customs, and directives promulgated by the Red Kaganate with respect to such Martial Activities, including, but not limited to, the two documents entitled "Rules for Martial Activities in the Red Kaganate" and "The Red Kaganate Association's Goals, Rules, and Procedures", with which the applicant has been provided.

  6. The applicant understands that all activities are voluntary, and that the applicant does not have to participate unless the applicant chooses to do so. The applicant understands that these activities are potentially dangerous or harmful to the applicant's person or property, and that by participating the applicant voluntarily accepts and assumes all risks of injury to the applicant or damage to the applicant's property.

  7. The applicant understands that the combat and training activities carry risks including but not limited to broken bones, dislocations, damage to muscles, to the skin, and to organs of the body, and could cause paralysis or death. Furthermore, failure of armour and/or other protective equipment can cause these and other serious injuries or death.

  8. The applicant understands that the Red Kaganate does not provide any insurance coverage for the applicant's person or property, and that by participating the applicant voluntarily accepts and assumes all risks of injury to the applicant or damage to the applicant's property.

  9. The Red Kaganate makes no representation or claim of suitability or safety of the land, structures, surroundings, or instrumentalities with which or upon which the said activities are to take place.

  10. Whenever the text of this instrument requires, the use of a singular number shall include the appropriate plural number.

  11. Paragraph numbers are for convenience only and carry no legal significance.

  12. The applicant has read the statements in this document. The applicant agrees with its terms and has voluntarily signed it. The applicant understands that this document is complete unto itself and that any oral promises or representations made to the applicant concerning this document and/or its terms are not binding upon the Red Kaganate.

    I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT. I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS RELEASE AND I UNDERSTAND ALL ITS TERMS. I EXECUTE IT VOLUNTARILY AND WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE OF ITS MEANING AND SIGNIFICANCE.
