That Far-Fetched Break
By Francis "Isko" Badiong

As far as I can recall, Naga City has talents who excel in their individual endeavors. Am referring to our local Artists who for one reached the National Scene- Blah! The rock band whose lone album once made it to the national market of the recording industry. Incidentally, they are now disbanded for reasons they prefer not to divulge. Now comes our solo artist who has added several years of expertise abroad in the field of music. He was and still is a renowned performer having his own compositions rendered live in some of the music bars downtown. But his talent is actually in a dilemma these days considering the latest output he has composed that is much awaited pending reproduction. The carrier single is entitled, "Magurang", whose lyrics is included in the book, "An Satong Tataramon", page 238, written by Jason William Lobel and Fr. Wilmer Joseph S. Tria. "Magurang alone would not be a risk for producers who have inclination for monetary concern I suppose.

There are ten (10) cuts in the album. Which also contains, "Salog kan Naga", an environmental-inspired song with primary concern on the preservation of the historical Bicol River. As we are all aware of, financial constraint is prevalent, however, if given that far-fetched break, Chrisogonous "Chris" Clemeno may soon be a well-celebrated artist nationwide. This would definitely bring honor to Naga City and the Bicolandia as a whole.

Let us all expect that the combined hard work and talent of Chris will turn into fruition sooner enabling us to appreciate his type of music, and, be proud of having such a Kababayan who has the intention of educating people through music.
