Koun Pos Kaing Korng
Pos Kaing Korng is a classic Khmer story.  Like the story of Tom and Teav, it is taught in Khmer literature class.  Because of its interesting and sometimes strange story, a series of motion pictures were made based on it.

There are four versions in total.  The first version called,
Pos Kaing Korng, is nearly a direct copy of the original story.  The second one called, Neang Lavear Chaik and the third one called, Neang Preay Sork Pos, are the deviation of this story.  The fourth one called, Koun Pos Kaing Korng, which is the recent one, is the blend between the three previous versions.
Koun Pos Kaing Korng tells a story of an affaire between a woman, Neang Ni, and a magical snake.  The affair led to the death of Neang Ni’s life.  She, however left behind a daughter with snake hair named, Soriya.  Soriya grew up in the jungle until she encountered a handsome young man.  The story unfolds as the two fell in love
