PARADOXOLOGY and CROSSING THE MODELS

We here present two ritual rubrics.  The Paradoxology bangs contradictory concepts together until they squirt chaos everywhere, all the better to create magic with, and Crossing the Models makes a magical intent intelligible in all ways of doing magic; the spirit, energy, psychological and cybernetic models.  This I've found especially useful for programming servitors, amulets and talismans so that they can function in any paradigm.

PARADOXOLOGY

TO MANIFEST CHAOS BY EMBRACING PARADOX By contrasting contradictories or complementaries we dissolve identity and categorisation projecting chaos into the Vortex which we can draw upon to manifest our will.

Method:  Draw up Statement of Intent.  Represent it by sigil, mantra, whatever.  Open a Vortex or gaze onto a chaostar or similar.  Project representation of Statement of Intent into the Vortex.  While doing so, bawl out the Paradoxology alone or in pairs, arranged how you will, such that the opposing concepts occur together or next to each other, ‘Yin!  Yang!  Black!  White!’ etc.  Repeat until confused.  Maintain awareness of representation of Statement of Intent at all times.  This handy technique paradox-modulates your Vortex or chaostar and anything introduced to it, creating a neither-neither zone in which magic can happen.

CROSSING THE MODELS

This rubric you should complete with representative samples from your own favourite examples of each of the four models of magic.  You can break down this lengthy rubric into manageable chunks as a series of workings.  It includes a little extra treat, a personal version of the Ritual of the Bornless One.  Enjoy.
