I See You Chapter 6 “AJ! Come with me!” I shouted. I grabbed his arm and pulled him into my car. Inside I called the fire department. AJ coughed, “Why? Why you?” “What do you mean why you?” “I saw you driving away from my house. It was you!” he screamed. “I don't know what you are talking about.” I rested my head on the steering wheel. I am so confused. I was trying to get to my aunt's place, that's all. “You started the fire!” AJ shouted. “WHAT! Why would you accuse me of such a thing!?” “You were driving away from here! The gas can in your car!” “I can't believe you! I was going home! The gas is for the car!” I picked up the phone and called the girls. “Mari? Hey, I need you all to come to AJ's, there was a fire...see ya,” I placed the phone back to the cradle. The car was silent for a few minutes. When the fire dept. and the police arrived, AJ jumped out of the car and headed over to them. I sighed with relief when I saw Lisa's car. “What happened?” Kimi asked. “I was on my way home when,” AJ cut me off. “I'll tell you what happened! She set my house on fire!” “Are you sure AJ?” Hayley asked. “YES!” he screamed. I looked over at Mari, tears in my eyes. “I can't do this,” I whispered. I took off running.
