A Perfect Picture-Seeing How It's The Opposite Chapter 1 Ashley walked into her new office. Well I guess this is my new life she thought, she looked around and started to unpack her things. She heard a soft knock on the door. "Come in!" she answered. A girl about her age walked in. "Hi! I'm Lyn! I just wanted to welcome you to Jive!" the girl said. "Hi!" I replied, "I'm Ashley." The girl walked over to her and extended her hand, Ashley shook it. "Nice to meet you Ashley!" Lyn said. The two girls started talking when they heard another knock at the door. They heard a man's voice ask, "Lyn? Baby? You in there?" Lyn walked behind the door, hiding, then opened it. In walked in the most gorgeous man Ashley ever laid her eyes on. "Uh…..hi! I was wondering if my girlfriend was in here?" the man asked. All Ashley could do was stare in awe. "Um….hello? Miss?" the man questioned. Suddenly Lyn jumped out of nowhere scaring the man. He jumped a mile high into the air. "Lyn!!!!!!" he exclaimed. Lyn just giggled, "Sorry baby, but it was too tempting!" She said with a smile then gave him a kiss. She turned to Ashley, "Ashley, meet my boyfriend Nick! Nick, a new worker, her name is Ashley!" Nick smiled at her warmly, "Nice to meet you Ashley!" he said. Ashley was speechless, she was so intimidated by him. "Hi…Ni…Nice to meet you too!" she stuttered. Nick turned to Lyn, "I've been looking everywhere for you baby! Finally Tori told me she saw you walk in here! We need to get in the studio! Come on! Everyone's waiting!" Lyn sighed, "okay already! Hey Ashley, why don't you come with us so you can meet everyone else?" Ashley still speechless just nodded yes. Nick grabbed Lyn's hand and lead her out the door while Ashley followed. They walked into a big room. When they walked in, Nick and Lyn were greeted by a numerous amount of people. Ashley stood shyly to the side. Kevin looked at Lyn impatiently, "where were you? We were supposed to start 15minutes ago!" he complained. "Sorry Kev! I just wanted to greet the new girl!" Lyn said gesturing towards Ashley. "Ok, fine but come on, we've got to get to work!" Kevin said. Ashley watched the guy Kevin, Nick, and 3 other guys gather to the center of the room. They put on headphones and started to warm their voices up. She looked on with curiosity. Lyn gently tapped her on her shoulder. "Come on! Let's go into the recording room and watch them from there!" she said with a smile. Ashley merely followed Lyn in. Ashley sat in the back of the room while Lyn, and a few other girls sat up front. She couldn't take her eyes off Nick, he was the most beautiful being she had ever laid her eyes on. She studied his every move, the way he smiled, his facial expressions, the way his eyes sparkled.. She was in-love. Time flew by quickly, but she didn't notice because she was too busy studying Nick. As soon as they were done Nick came running into the recording room. "Ouch!" Ashley yelped. "Sorry!" Nick said quickly then walked over to Lyn. He picked her up and threw her over his shoulder. "Where are you taking me?" Lyn demanded through giggles. "Somewhere…" he said while grinning evilly. Ashley watched as he walked out of the room and disappeared with Lyn in the hallway. Soon the rest of the guys walked in. Ashley watched as a beautiful black girl walked up to the guy with red hair and gave him a kiss. "Hey baby!" the guy said. "Hey yourself !" the girl replied. AJ noticed someone staring at them. "Well hello there!" AJ said. Ashley shyly replied a hello. "I'm AJ and you are?" he asked. "I'm Ashley, I'm new here." She replied. "Nice to meet you Ashley, I'd like you to meet my girlfriend Krystle!" Krystle turned around and smiled at Ashley, "Nice to meet you!" she said. "Where'd Nick run off to? We still have to talk about something!" AJ said. "Oh you know him, he came bursting into the room , grabbed Lyn and ran off!" Krystle said with exasperation. AJ laughed, "Never mind! We'll leave them alone! I know he went to go get some sugar!" he said with a smirk. "AJ!" Krystle exclaimed. "What?" he asked innocently. "You know what! They're kids! Let them be!" Krystle replied. "Okay, okay! But I'm hungry! Let's go get some Mickey D's!" AJ said while rubbing his tummy. Krystle sighed, "okay! Let's get everyone then we'll go!" "Okay!" AJ said happily. Krystle gathered told everyone about going to McDonald's. "Sounds good to me!" Brian said, "I'm starving!" "You're always hungry sweetie!" Sarah Jo said with a smile. "Yeah, but you love me that way!" Brian said. "Yes I do!" Sarah Jo giggled. In the corner Kevin and his girlfriend Victoria, or Tori as everyone called her, were cuddling. "Come on guys! We're going to grab some Mickey D's!" Krystle said. "Where's Lyn?" Tori asked. "With Nick, where else?" Krystle replied. Kevin rolled his eyes, "Those two need time apart!" Tori lightly laughed, "Oh Kevvy, they're just in-love! I find it cute! Don't you?" "Uh….well…." Kevin mumbled. "I'm not saying anything, I could end up on the couch tonight if I do!" Tori smiled, "Good choice hon!" Everyone but Krystle, AJ, Tori and Ashley went outside, they went looking for Nick and Lyn. AJ and Krystle were busy whispering to each other and Tori and Ashley talked. "So…."Ashley asked casually, "How long have Lyn and Nick been together?" Tori gave Ashley a weird look, "about 3 years now…." Oh is all Ashley could say. Tori still having a weird feeling quickly walked down to the end of the hall and knocked on the door. "Lyn! Nick!" she yelled. No answer, Tori not wanting to wait any longer burst through the door to catch Nick and Lyn in the corner doing some heavy duty kissing. "Aaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!" Tori yelled, making gagging noises. Nick shot up off Lyn and quickly looked to see Krystle and AJ laughing hysterically and Tori making faces. He pulled Lyn up. "Hey guys!" Lyn said with a smile. "Yuck!" Tori said making gagging noises. "I did not have to see that!" Krystle and AJ couldn't stop laughing. "That is the funniest thing I've ever seen!" Krystle said in between laughs. "Well it's not our fault that you walked in at the wrong time!" Lyn retorted. "How was I supposed to know you guys were doing that?" Tori said "Because," AJ said with a laugh, "they're always doing that!" Nick glared at AJ, "very funny AJ!" AJ continued to laugh, "what? It's true!" Nick just glared at him, "Come on you guys! Everyone's waiting for us! And I'm hungry!" Tori complained. " Okay, we're coming," Lyn said. She took Nick's hand and followed AJ, Krystle, and Tori out the door. Ashley lagged behind watching Lyn. What is it about her that makes Nick want her? She asked herself. She envied Lyn and wanted what she had. She continued to walk behind them with the worst most possible things running through her mind…….Next: Chapter 2 |
