Just To Be Close To You Chapter 4 When I got to the restaurant I was exactly on time so I took a deep breath and I went inside, as I walked towards their table more and more heads turned towards me, I felt so happy I mean what kind of girl wouldn't want this I finally started realizing why this was so important to Kevin... As I walked to the table where they were all sitting AJ was the first to see me so he pinched Howie to look, Howie pinched Nick, and Nick kicked Brian when Brian saw me and he smiled and pinched Kevin and said "LOOK LOOK" Kevin started looking around so Brian held his face and turned it towards me, I could see the surprise on Kevin's face when he had his mouth wide open, and so did every one else, I was wearing a long dark purple dress, with matching shoes, and a diamond necklace with the earrings that were shinning so bright in every ones eyes when it reflected the lights in the room.. When I finally got there all the guys were still staring at me so I said "Good evening every one" the only ones who answered me were the girls so I said "Guys you look like you just saw a ghost??" Kevin answered "It was more of an Angle" and he got up held my hand and pulled the chair for me.. When I looked at my friend she winked so I winked back and I smiled, I was nervous at first but then I started remembering what my sister told me, to be confident, and just think that this is all for my happiness, it's all for Kev's sake, so I finally managed to calm down and act normal... The whole night went by so nicely, better than I thought it will be, I have to say I was great, every one was amazed even my friend, later Kevin asked me to dance with him so I accepted, the music was so slow and Kevin was such a great dancer and he said "You look so beautiful tonight" I smiled and said "Thank you do you really like it??" he smiled and said "Are you kidding who wouldn't, this is more than what I wanted, I'm in heaven and you're my Angel" I felt so happy I just put my head to rest on his shoulder and we danced for hours, when we finally decided t sit down every one was bored and they decided to go some where, so they suggested the lake again, me and Kev looked at each other and said in one voice "NO WAY" they all laughed at that and then Nick suggested his favorite place.. The beach and we all finally agreed.. before we left I noticed AJ and Brian were talking to Kevin like they were telling him something important and he was just listening, 5 minutes later they all smiled and gave each other a high five.. It was a very cold night and my dress wasn't keeping me warm, and Kevin noticed that while we were walking together, while every one else preferred to sit on the sand and relax, so he asked "Are you feeling cold??" I replied "yeah, I get cold pretty fast" so he took of his jacket and put it on my shoulders just to keep me warm, I smiled and said "Thank you.. but what about you" he held my hand and said "No, I'll be fine, I'm ok with a little cold" I just smiled I let my hand go, it was melting in his warm hand, he held my hand so softly and tenderly like it was a crystal that he didn't wanna break... We talked a little bit about his life as a BSB, and his life on the road, how he misses his family, and we talked a little about me, we talked alot about my Dad and his dancing, how he taught me my first dance steps.. We didn't notice that we spent 2 hours talking and walking by the water, one of my friends ran towards us and said we have to get going, and Kevin said "We'll be right there just give us a second", as he held both my hands my friend turned around and left, then he said "I just have to say this before we leave.. I'm sorry about what I did before but I think now that you changed like this you know what I meant" I looked in to his eyes and said "I understand now, I'm the one who should be apologizing to you and to my self" he asked "Why were you acting like this??" I said "That is a long story, I'll tell you later, but I think we have to go now" then he added "Why did you go through all this??" I answered "Just to be close to you" he smiled like an Angel and then we walked towards the gang holding hands and Kevin asked "Where are we heading??" AJ replied "HOME" then Howie said "Yeah we're too tired, and we have a show tomorrow" so Kevin pulled me as he said "Well then we'll see you guys later.. bye" I didn't understand what was going on so I turned around and looked at AJ I noticed he gave Brian a high five as we drove away in Kevin's car, and I knew something was going on, but I never said a thing... A little bit later he said "So tell me your story, we have all night" I looked at him and asked "Where exactly are we going?" he answered "You'll know when we get there, now tell me about it" I smiled and I started telling him about my life, my brothers and how close we are, my sister that got married when I was little, then I said "You know Kev I should thank you for this, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have made up with my sister, we have our relationship back on track again, even better than it used to" he looked amazed and said "I did all that? I didn't know!!" I gave him a soft kiss on the cheek and he asked "What was that for?" I answered "Just a Thank you for what you did" I felt the car come to a stop and when I asked "Kevin where are we?" he opened the door for me and said "You'll know now" as he held my hand and helped me out of the car. We went in this great huge building and we got in the elevator he punched the button that led to the 15th floor, as the elevator door opened all I could see was apartments, so I asked curiously "Kev where are we going?" he said as he was pulling me with him "We're here" we stopped in front of a big door and Kevin reached out and opened it as he said to me "You'll love this baby" I came to a shock wen I found out that it was a dancing studio, Kevin said hi to every one that passed by, it seemed like he knew every one and he called a guy "Wassup Alberto" a tall dark guy came towards us he looked Spanish, and said "Kevin, how are you, when did you come back from you tour" Kev replied "About 2 days ago, listen this is a very special girl I want you to see her dancing" he looked at me and said "She looks special, show me" I looked at Kevin and said "Kevin I can't dance with this dress" he said "Yes you can, you just danced with me with the same dress, don't be afraid, I'm here" then Alberto said "I have to see some dancing to judge" as I walked towards him I said "OK I'll dance but only with Kevin" Alberto smiled and said "all right go a head" I didn't wait for him to finish and I ran to Kevin.. Alberto chose some great music for us to dance with, first he played some fast music then he played, Unchanged Melody, I have to say we made magic with that song, Kevin was so good I felt like it was my first time to dance.. When the dance was done we ended facing each other, our faces were so close I felt his breath on my cheek, but that moment ended when we heard some strong claps, when we both turned around it was Alberto with every one that was around clapping for us, Alberto came closer to me and said "You're great, you're excellent, where did you learn how to dance like that" I blushed and said "My dad he taught me" then Alberto asked "What's you name?" I answered "________ _______ _________, but why" he suddenly yelled "O my goodness, I know you father, we used to dance together, I'll tell you I was one step away from that award but your dad was too good for me, where is he??" I answered with sad eyes "He passed away three years ago" Alberto looked so sad like he lost the most precious thing in his life and said "I'm sorry, I had to look for him a little bit harder, but I was so busy with my life, and my teaching" as two tears raced down his face, I gave him a hug and said "Don't cry, I'm sure he's looking upon us right now and he knows how you feel" he pulled away and left.. I felt Kevin's hands on my shoulder and he said "I didn't know about your dad, I'm sorry.." I turned around and hugged him I cried, I never got over my father's death, Kevin cried too and said "Don't cry, I can't stand someone crying in front of me.." I looked up to him and said "I'm sorry, did I remind you of your dad??" he smiled and said "No.. coz I never forget him..", and we left the building and got in his car, then he said "I'm sorry maybe I was wrong to bring you here, I shouldn't have listened to AJ and Brian..." I stopped him and said "No Kev this was the greatest night of my life, thank you so much".. As he leaned towards me and gave me a soft kiss, I felt like it lasted for ever, then I said teasing "I thought you said you just wanted to be friends?!!" he laughed and said "You'll never forgot this, will you?" then I said "I didn't mean that I was Just kidding.." he smiled and said "..I know, I was just teasing" as he started the car and drove.. When we arrived at my house he got out of the car quickly and opened the door for me, he's such a gentleman.. He walked me to the house and we talked for a while and held my hands and said "________ I think I'm falling for you, I've liked you right from the start but I was trying to hide it, but now that I know that you did all this for me, that you feel the same way, I can't keep it inside anymore" I put my hand on his soft face and said "You don't have to explain anything, I'm just glad I didn't do all this for nothing" then I continued "I think I love you 2, I couldn't say it before, I was afraid, but not anymore".. we kissed and I never wanted it to end, I wanted to stay with him forever but I said "You have to go and get some sleep, you have a show tomorrow and you have to wake up early for rehearsals" he agreed to what I said and as he was about to leave he said "Will you come to the rehearsals, I really want you to be there" I thought for moment and then I said "OK if you really want me to be there, perhaps I could use a little dancing lessons from Fatima" he laughed and said "You got your self a deal, I'll wait for you don't be late" then I said "Don't worry I'll be there 8 O'clock sharp" he gave me one last kiss and said "I'll miss you 'till tomorrow" we both smiled and he left... The next morning I woke up when I heard the phone ring when I looked at the time it was still 7 am I picked up the phone and all I could here was my sister yelling "WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL ME LAST NIGHT, WHAT HAPPENED TELL ME EVERY THING.." I yelled "WOW WOW SLOW DOWN.. I came back late last night, I didn't wanna bother you" she replied "Bother me, I stayed up all night waiting for your call" I felt a little guilty so I said "I'm so sorry I didn't know, but I'll tell you every thing is that OK" she said "Of course you'll tell me every thing, now start telling me every thing" and I did from the moment I walked in the restaurant until our last kiss and I continued "I have to go to the rehearsals in less than one hour, he want's me to come there, and I don't wanna be late" so she told me to get going and she hung up.. I was exactly on time and he was waiting for me in the dressing room, he told one of their stylists to get me something comfortable to help me dance and I was ready in 10 minutes and ready to go, they started singing and dancing, the dancers were great and the girl that was dancing with Kevin was so pretty I felt jealous but I think he saw that, so he asked me to dance and I said yes right away, I learned the moves really fast that every one was so amazed.. The day went by so fast it was time for the show, I was hanging out with Kevin and the others in the dressing room, helping them choose what to wear, suddenly Denise AJ's Mom bursed in the room with some bad news and she said "Guys we have a problem, one of the dancers can't come.." being such a perfectionist Kevin started getting nervous and said "Why, what happened, she can't do this to us" Denise continued "Well she had an accident and broke her leg" they all looked so confused as Kevin sat down on the nearest chair thinking, Howie said "We can't do with 4 dancers we need one more" Nick asked "Where on earth will we find a dancer now, she has to learn the dance moves and..." suddenly Nick stopped talking and every one was staring at me and then Kevin said "Honey you're the one, you know the dance moves" I shook my head saying "No" and I said "No way I can't do it, with all those people watching me, I can't" so he said "You can dance with me, you feel comfortable with me right?" and Denise said "No problem it's Kevin's dancer who got hurt anyway" I looked at her and said "Oh lucky me" they all laughed and AJ said "This could be for your own good, you never know" I thought for a while then I said "All right I'll do it just for you guys" and they all jumped and screamed in happiness, like they just got a number one hit, I was so happy and scared at the same time.. But I knew I'll be OK coz I knew Kev was right beside me.. It was time to go, only 5 minutes left for the show to start, the greatest thing was when Kevin grabbed my hand and took me with him, he made me stand next to him, the boys were saying thier prayers, they were all standing in a circle and they wanted me to be a part of it, I felt so happy and proud, they all got ready for the moment but just before Kev went up the stairs he looked at me and said "I'm counting on you, just imagine when we were dancing last night infront of Alberto, you'll be fine" and he gave me a quick kiss and ran to catch up with the guys.. It was my turn to dance I went up there and we made magic for the second time, I had so much fun, they were all acting so crazy and goofy especially AJ and Brian, The final dance was EveryBody (Back Street's Back) it was great it had alot of moves so it was a challenge, but every thing went so smoothly, at the end of the dance, the fans screamed so much, every one was clapping, and it was time for the boys to say goodbye and take a bow, so me and the rest of the dancers had to leave, but Kevin suddenly held my arm and gave me a hug then he whispered "I love you" I looked at him, and he could see the tears in my eyes, then I said "I love you 2" and I ran back stage to find all my friends and my sister standing there waiting for me, when I told my sister about what Kevin said she couldn't stand still for one second, she acted like a little kid excited about his new toy.. When the boys came back stage I saw Kevin and I ran to him and gave him a big hug, then I heard a voice behind me saying "I'm sorry to interrupt you guys but I have a business proposition for you" when I turned around it was Denise with the rest of the guys, I asked "Who Me?" Denise smiled and said "yeah, We need someone to fill up for our dancer just until she gets better, and you're the best I'll ever find, what do you say" I replied "I dunno what to say I.." the guys all said "PLEEAASSE" as they all smiled so innocently.. I smiled and looked at Kevin he whispered "Please!!" I had no other choice but to say "ooh Ok I'll do it again for you guys" they were so happy and Kev yelled a big "YES" each guy gave me a hug and Kevin carried me like a baby and he said it again "I love you" .. Now I'm one of the girls dancing with the BackStreet Boys, and Kevin is my steady boyfriend now he is the greatest man in the world.. You probably saw me dancing in one of the concerts, or one of their live shows, or maybe in one of their music videos, did you see me... yeah that's me dancing over there.. |
