Always You... Chapter 3 “I don’t know what to tell ya Kam.” Sloan apologized, placing a reassuring hand on her friend’s shoulder. Kamarah sniffled and turned around, her eyes teary and rimmed with red, “It’s not your fault, thanks for searching with me today, I know it wasn’t exactly exciting and I haven’t exactly been Ms. Personality lately, but this guy is just tearing me up inside.” “”You don’t even know this man Kami.” “I know, and I am so embarrassed.” Kamarah replied. “Well my dear, why don’t we clean you up and go to the Opus Room?” Kamarah nodded at Sloan’s suggestion, Sloan put her arm around her friend’s shoulders as the two made their way to Kamarah’s room.“Alright babe, get ready to shake your bon-bon!” Sloan chirped as she drove her new silver convertible up to the door of the club and tossed the valet her keys. “You are such an idiot, bon-bon.” Kamarah shook her head in disgust. Sloan rolled her eyes and directed the two towards the dance floor, “Don’t be a dud on me tonight girl, come on, lighten-up and have some fun.” Kamarah decided she wasn’t in the mood to dance and turned towards the bar, “I’ve got an idea, you go shake your so called bon-bon, and I’ll go make friends with Billy-Bob the bartender.” Sloan shrugged her shoulders and began dancing with the closest man. “Rum and coke please.” The bartender looked Kamarah up and down, “You don’t look 21.” Kamarah sighed in disgust, she absolutely hated stupid people, “That’s because I’m not.” “The why are you asking me for a drink?” Kamarah rested her forehead on her elbow that was resting on the bar-top. “Does this woman honestly look like she is in the mood to sit and bicker with the likes of you? Shut-up and serve up what she ordered.” Kamarah’s head shot up, “Thank you,” she muttered as she caught the back of a gentleman. The man’s head turned and Kamarah locked eyes with him, she was breathless. The man’s eyes were so clear and the color of the sky, or the purest blue ocean. “No problem,” the man replied as he took out his wallet and laid a couple dollar bills on the counter for the bartender, “Have a nice night.” He said and then began to walk away. Kamarah didn’t know what to do, she couldn’t let him go, “Hey, wait!” The man stopped and turned around, he was so gorgeous. His lips were perfect like cherub lips, moist and the lightest shade of pink, his jaw was strong, his nose was perfect, his hair was the blondest of blonde and his eyes, my God those eyes, they took Kamarah’s breath away, he was every woman’s fantasy. “Yes?” he asked as Kamarah shook herself out of her daze, “Um, oh yeah, you never told me your name!” The man smirked, “Nick, my name is Nick.” And then turned again to leave the club, his suite jacket flying in the breeze as he opened the door and retrieved his keys from the valet. “Kam, come on and dance.” Sloan yelled over the loud, pulsating rhythms of the music as she approached Kamarah at the bar. “No thanks, I think I am going to catch a taxi home.” Kamarah replied in a daze as she got up from her seat and left Sloan to stand alone in awe, before returning back to the dance floor. |
