Always You...

Prologue

The sky was dark and the stars shown down brightly from the heavens, making the water sparkle as the waves crashed upon the shore. A slight breeze in the air caused Kamarah’s beautiful, shoulder length, layered, brunette hair to flow behind her. She just wanted to be alone right now, her house was right on the beach, so this was her place, her own private beach where she could roam with her thoughts.

Sitting down upon the cool, soft sand Kamarah closed her eyes, took a deep breath and became soothed by the salty, tropical Florida air. The tide went in and out, in and out, webbing around her toes. This was Kamarah’s home, where she belonged. Opening her eyes, a shooting star took off through the black sky and a chill went down her spine. There was something mystical, almost magical, about this part of the beach.

Only the starlight lit Kamarah’s view for there were not many houses on the beach, and they were miles down. The grass grew wild behind her and whispered in the wind. The sand was pure, clean and soft and a tiny, crystal pond off to the right homed starfish, sea urchins and other delicate sea creatures. But what Kamarah loved most about this spot was the way the ocean crashed up upon the rocks, so thunderous and violently, yet it looked as though it was a special bond, or embrace, an embrace that Kamarah was so desperately searching for.

Soon the wind started to pick up and Kamarah decided to start heading for home. Plus a thick fog had started to build up. Yet through the fog Kamarah could make out an object. Wading out to her knees into the water, Kamarah noticed a small, yet beautiful speedboat, idle in the water. Curious, Kamarah waded out further, until the water hit her waist and then she noticed a figure moving, a man. The young man made his way to the front of the boat as he threw an object into the water. Kamarah could not make out any features; she was simply not close enough. The wind grew stronger and the young man stood tall as he watched the object hit the water, his hair and the suit jacket he was wearing were flapping behind him in the wind. Watching the young man, and being in his presence gave Kamarah a peculiar feeling of comfort and peace. Suddenly Kamarah tripped over a shell and tumbled into the water. After regaining her balance she gazed back up to the young man who had already started up the boat and began to speed away.

Kamarah was overcome with sadness as the boat and the man drove away. Snapping out of her thoughts, Kamarah gathered herself together and ran home.
