Heaven Sent II Chapter 6 Leslie stood by the same house by the beach the first time Nick saw her and introduced himself. Her white dress dipped down to her ankle and touching the sand. She sighed and smiled. 'I guess it's better this way..' Nick drove his boat quickly. 'I love you Leslie...you can't keep me away from you..' He parked his boat at the pier and noticed that the house was still there. 'What do I say to her?'Leslie sat and dazed at the water. She looked down at her hands and placed one over her heart. That warm feeling was returning. 'Nick must be thinking of me' She closed her eyes and thought of him. The pain was no longer inside of her, no longer torturing her. She opened her eyes and saw the boat. The warm feeling was gone, she felt her heart ache. She knew he was near by and she couldn't see him. After what had happened, her heart was taught not to be near him or she'll get hurt. She saw him coming and the pain worsened. "Oww...." She moaned. Her breathing was ragged and she got up to go inside the house but it was too late. "Leslie!!!" Nick called her. Leslie turned around. "Stay away from me Nick!!" "No...I'm sorry!! I need you!!! We can do this again!!" "It's different this time!! We can't do anything about it....oww...oh god.." She moaned and fell to the wooden patio floor. "Leslie!!" Nick came closer but obviously knew he shouldn't because Leslie screamed in pain. "What's going on?" "You broke your promise Nick. You promised to love me!! You were 'the one' and you broke that between us...it can't work anymore...!" Nick shook his head. "No. I wasn't the one that met you...I was different..and so were you! We don't even know each other because we didn't have a past together!!" Nick kept a distance, making sure he lessened the pain for her. "Are you okay?" "I love you so much....everything I was doing was for you...and you told me you don't love me anymore.." "That was out of anger..I do love you...but I loved you as an angel..." Nick said, calming down by now. "It's impossible for us Nick...just leave me...please..." She put her head down and her body into a ball. "Leslie...please Baby...I need you.." Nick cried. "I don't care what you are...who you are...I just need you...in my life...don't go away...don't run from me...." Nick sank into the sand on his knees. "Gimme another chance...anyone up there...just give us another chance...I'll treat her right..." Nick closed his eyes. "Just let me hold her...and take all her pain away...I'll do anything.." Nick closed his eyes and looked down, tears dripping into the sand. He looked up to see another lady, holding Leslie in her arms. "Where are you taking her? Please...don't take her away..." He begged. "Wait a minute..Carla...that's you..please..don't take her..." "She needs help Nick...and quick..." Carla stepped closer to Nick and handed him Leslie. "Huh?" Nick asked, staring down at his girlfriend. "You're given another chance...and if this angel is proven with your love...she'll be okay in the morning..." "Am I hurting her right now?" Nick asked. "No..." Carla smiled. "I don't want you breaking your promise again." "I won't..." Nick breathed and looked down, her body was warm. He smiled and quickly took her inside the beach house. He looked around and the loft was filled with candles and sheer flowing curtains because of the wind. He felt like he was in heaven. "Nick..." Leslie called him. Nick looked down. "Let's do this again Leslie...and this time, it won't be the same in the morning...you'll know me as Nick Carter, and I'll know you as my guardian angel.." "What are you talking about..put me down.." Leslie frowned at him. Nick smiled and walked to the white-sheeted bed. "Why are you here Nick? You can't be here...I was ready for them to take me away..." "Did you want that?" Leslie shook her head and Nick kissed her. "I was so scared...I wasn't gonna see you..." She cried and Nick wiped the tears away from her cheek. "I love you...." Nick whispered before her climbed on top of her. He kissed her again. When he pulled away, he looked down at her dress. "I don't ever wanna see you wear this again.." Leslie smiled weakly as Nick's mouth went to her neck. She sighed deeply and closed her eyes, wrapping her arms around his body. Nick woke up in the morning, only to find Leslie in his arms, the way he wanted. He kissed the top of her head and ran his hands up and down her back. "Please say you love me.." Nick begged of her. He kept his soothing pattern on her back as his lips remain on the top of her head. He closed his eyes and knew the sun was about to rise soon, and it was all depend on Leslie if they will be eternally together. "I love you.." Leslie answered and snuggled close to his chest.The End!!!! |
