Chapter 27

AJ led me in to a fairly large room for a tour bus. It was basically composed of a big plush couch and two separate chairs. There was a 26 inch TV built into some cabinets and had about three video game systems hooked up to it.

He closed the door behind us with out a word and turned on the light. I took a seat on the couch as he moved some things in a cabinet to get out what I figured was the first aid kit. He passed the kit to me as he sat down next to me.

"So, did you have the dream too??" I asked as I began checking his wrist for any broken bones. I was really glad that I had chosen to do an extra class in school about first aid. I couldn't stand it then, but it was really coming in useful.

"Yeah," he replied as he watched what I was doing.

"You know, I'm not going to bite you," I teased him for watching my every move. I found it kind of ironic. I would have always guessed that I would have been the one watching his every move. Not the other way around. Besides, he was one of my idols.

"I know," AJ sighed, "It's just... the dream. It's so real. Are all of the dreams the same??"

"I have no clue," I shrugged. "I was actually wondering that myself," I confessed as I began wrapping his wrist and hand.

"Well, what is yours like??" he asked after a moment of thought. What was mine like? Did I really want him to know that? Was I ready to tell my dream to somebody? I wasn't sure but I decided to try.

I thought for a moment. Where could I start with out making it too confusing? I didn't even know so I began with the first thing that entered my mind. "I'm in a medievil city. The people are bowing before me, I tell them to stop. At first, there was a child that ran in to me, but not any more. Um, then Vance or, uh, the guy from back at the hotel.."

"I know who Vance is," AJ interrupted me.

"K, then Vance shows up. I grab my necklace as if it would save me. Then necklace holds this, this incredible power. The power, like, surrounds me. But Vance rips the necklace off me and I fall. Then the next thing I know Kevin is carrying me away from the battle. That's the recurring one anyway," I finished as I finished wrapping his wrist. I let out a shaky sigh before looking up at him. "What's your dream like??"

"Well, mine starts off in a castle. I'm talking to I think who would be my mother in the dream. Suddenly, I here this piercing scream and before I know it, I'm in the city streets in a full blown battle. At first, I had a child who later disappeared in my dream too," AJ began not breaking eye contact with me. I listened intently and slowly glued the pieces of both dreams together. I couldn't believe how much alike they were, and I could imagine AJ's dream in my mind.

AJ continued, "When I look to my sides the other guys are right there. We're all fighting off the attackers of the castle. Suddenly, Nick finishes with his duel and sees you and Vance. Kevin fights off his attacker and he and Nick plan a surprise attack. Howie, Brian and I join in on their little plan as we finish our duels. The last words spoken were from Nick. He made Kevin promise to get you out safely. When I see Vance hurt you I feel like killing him. But I don't know why I feel so protective over you. It's like I didn't have any control over my actions or feelings. Then during the attack on Vance, I get hit and I wake up. That's my recuring part."

I was completely speechless. I was amazed by how perfectly our dreams fit together. Wait, they weren't dreams. I knew they were something else, just...what??
