On the summit of Mt Langley with Whitney to the north.
On the hike back to the trailhead we walked by a quail
that didn't bother to fly away from us. It seems the
wildlife know backpackers eat
freeze dried food and wouldn't know what to do with a live animal if it jumped
into our lap.
