Dutch Medical Team Rumored to be Spies Evacuated from
Ambon

TEMPO Interaktif, Ambon: The members of a medical team from the Netherlands
has canceled to carry out their planned tasks in Maluku, because it has been
rumored that they are foreign spies.
"The doctors have asked to be evacuated to their country as they feel threatened. The
media has made improper reports about them," said Lt. Colonel IGD Kotta, the chief
of health at the Pattimura Military Command in Ambon, on Monday (8/4).
The medical team, which consists of ophthalmologist Dr PHJ Khlop and orthopedist
Dr C. Stours as well as three nurses, were evacuated from Ambon on Sunday (7/4).
