The soldiers here are listed by home state as that seemed to me the easiest way to locate someone in a list like this. Almost all of the information here has come from internet searches. What I find most interesting is the widespread nature of the Blinn family. I have included those I have found with Blinn as a first name also as most often these people are related thru female lines. Remember none of this is documented by me, but if you see an ancestor of yours, you can write for the appropriate information. Please let me know if you come across any errors or omissions. Obviously there are missing names, these are just ones I have come across. |

The soldiers here are listed by home state. Please let me know if you come across any errors or omissions. If not noted the soldier came from the Civil War Muster Rolls at Ancestry.com The Civil War Muster Rolls is part of a historic effort to compile and link all available records of soldiers mustered by individual states during the Civil War. This database is a listing of over 5.3 million men who served in the war. Taken from records housed in the National Archives, each record provides the soldier's name, company, and unit. Also provided is the individual's rank when inducted and rank when discharged. If you have the name and company many times an online search would give you the home counties and much more information. There is a lot on the Cival War online. |
