I live in Columbia, South Carolina, with my husband, the owner of DCS Internet Sales, and my new little kitten, Dust Bunny. We spend the summer months in northern Vermont, where his family has vacationed all his life. My husband enjoys golf, kayaking, sailing, reading and music. He is also a journalist, occasional radio host, and docent with both Trinity Cathedral and the Historic Columbia Foundation. My cat.....well, she likes hiding in paper bags, making spider webs with my yarn, sitting in open windows, and taking naps with me.

I gave up a respectable career as a special education teacher and crisis counselor to follow my dream and become a "hooker." I guess I'm one of the few women who can be proud of that and not worry about being arrested! I now own a small wholesale crafts business and spend much of my time creating original crochet patterns.

I also write poetry, some of which has recently been published in "Best Loved Poems of America" and "Poems From the Heart." Many of my poems are found throughout my homepage. I do ballet exercises and stair climbing to stay in shape, collect Sinatra concerts and music boxes, am a true animal lover and a confessed neat freak. Another interest is my homepage, which I truly love working on and expanding.

I have two daughters, one living in North Carolina and the other in South Carolina. Like me, my older daughter, Debbie, loves homepages and chat rooms and often expresses herself in verse. She was won awards for her writing and has also published. Like me, she loves the Internet and had created many websites. She had two toddler-age sons, Tommy and Robbie.

My daughter Patty, is a preschool teacher. She is married, enjoys crafts and baking, and, like her Mom, loves animals (her "critters"). Patty can always make me laugh and we share the joy of small, simple things. Her husband, a deputy sheriff, is also a member of the National Guard.

My affiliations have included: Vermont Education Association, Vermont Chamber of Commerce, Sparrowgrass Poetry Forum, Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Project to Advance Victims of Domestic Violence, Riverbanks Zoo, Columbia Museum of Art, and United Church of Christ lay ministry.
