In my 25th week mommy started to have what is called Poly Hydramnios. This means that her uterus was filling up with excess amniotic fluid because I was not developing correctly. She started to have contractions at 29 weeks and decided that she better go to the hospital to get us checked. Daddy was out of town so mommy and I went up to the hospital by ourselves to make sure we were both going to be alright. Mommy feared that I had already left her to be with Jesus but that was not the case. Mommy and I spent the night of March 19th alone together in the hospital and it was one of the most memorable times of mommy's life. We layed quietly together and the only sound in the dark room was the sound of my heartbeat on the monitor. Mommy says it is difficult for her to explain but she knows that God gave her that night alone with me because he was taking me home to Him very soon! We will both remember that night forever!
From that night on, things started to get very difficult for mommy. After a lot of prayer and considering what was best for me and for my mommy's health, they decided mommy should be induced on April 15th, 2002. After two days of induction, I was born at 1:35p.m. on April 17th, 2002 and I weighed 3lbs. 8oz. Mommy and daddy were so happy to finally be holding me! They held me so close to them and cuddled me up! I was baptised by my Grandma Arlene and my Godparents, Rachel Campbell and Brian Oswood, and my Aunt Becky and Aunt Sheryl were there too! I said my good-byes as they said their hellos and left to be with Jesus while my mommy held me in her arms.
