My husband
David likes stuff.
He collects stuff.
He saves stuff.
He hates to throw stuff away.
In fact, he's spent half his life trying to find Away.
He says Away must be a fantastic place to find all sorts of neat
stuff.
I'm not sure, but I think Away is our house and yard.
This page is
dedicated to showing you some of David's most favorite stuff.
It promises to grow in leaps and bounds as soon as I get the
photos taken and scanned.
From his very first trash treasure, (a turn-of-the-century Victor
bicycle-built-for-two that he dragged home when he was a kid)
to some of his old hand tools and other 'artifacts' and curios,
this page promises to have something for everyone.

The '42's are
coveted for many reasons, not the least being that the production
of them was halted on 02/02/1942 in favor of producing vehicles
for the War effort. Production didn't resume until 1945.

Probably the
most imposing and notorious item amongst David's stuff was
"The Bus". See that green thing behind the buick up
there? "The Bus" is a 1944, 42 passenger General
American Aerocoach. You may have noticed it on on our 'About Us'
page. There's an old black and white photo of it there. In fact
it was a Kowasaki Green with big olé silver lips painted in
front.
I've tinted
this black & white photo green to give you a better idea of
the effect this had as a yard ornament. It lived in our font yard
for years and finding another home for it was my chief nag for
over a decade. I finally won the battle and a couple of years
ago, the bus went to a good home. As it was towed out of the
driveway, several neighbor women came over bearing champagne to
help me celebrate.
