Sylvester Stallone stars as the unforgettable Philadelphia club fighter, Rocky Balboa. Rocky (also known as the Italian Stallion) is chosen to fight world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed (Weathers). The match is an exhibition for Apollo, but for Rocky it's a shot at big time fame.

Also features unforgettable performance by Burgess Meredith as Mickey, Rocky's trainer. Talia Shire plays the young Adrian, whom Rocky tries to win over.

Excellent music, and an excellent final match at the very end of the movie make it a favorite. This movie features something for everyone. It has a love story, sports action, real life action, drama, and inspiration. Rocky is the ultimate story of pride and glory of a man with million to one odds.
