The movie is about Tommy (Farley), who is not the brightest one, after graduating from college in only seven years. Tommy comes home to work at his father's (Dennehy) auto parts factory.
Tommy's father suprises him with the announcement of his marriage. A wedding is planned for that Saturday. Tommy's dad has a fatal heart attack at the wedding however. The company then goes under and is going to be forced to sell to rival Zalinsky Auto Parts.
A decison by Tommy to put up his house and belongings as collateral for a bank loan for the new Callahan Brake Pads Divison, which was Tommy Sr.'s dream, saves the company for now.
Tommy and Richard (Spade) head out on the road to sell 500,000 brake pads before the company goes under. If they don't sell this many in a certain amount of time, the company is left with no choice but to sell.
These two's trip is filled with comedy, stupid remarks, and funny lines. I try never to spoil a movie, so I won't say if they make it or not.
I highly recommend this movie. It is one of the funniest movies of all time.
