Hee hee, it's been so long. I forgot which chapter I was on... oh, well. Um, it's been awhile, ne, peoples? Well, I'm back now.. or almost back..or something like that. Anyway, thanks to everyone who wrote to me about this fic, wanting to read more, that just made my day! So, I'm back now and I have lots of new ideas for new fics. The next one I write (I'll finish this one before I start, even though, due to lack of reviews, I won't be writing more of "WNS" right away) will be a SM/DBZ crossover. If anyone has a request for the couple, let me know now. I have ideas for every one of those buff bishonen. LOL (Who doesn't?) Y'all know I don't own anything, so don't even ask. (If I owned FY I'd lock up all the Seishi--except Nuriko--and keep them for my very own!) Searching Chapter 10 (I remembered!) ___________________________________________________________________ Hotohori stared in disbelief at his wife. "You are...what?" he asked, shock evident in his voice. "You're going to have an heir, Hoto-chan!" she said happily, placing his hand on her flat stomach. Mistaking his still-dazed look for something else, she frowned sadly. "Aren't you happy?" "I am overjoyed," he answered, rushing to assure her. "Who else knows?" "Just Ami, and that's just because she's the one who checked me out. I wanted to tell you before I surprised the others. Nuriko's going to kill me, but hey!" She laughed happily. "I never dreamed everything could go so *right*, Hotohori. I love you so much, and now we're gonna be a family!" He smiled back at her lovingly. "You never cease to amaze me." ___________________________________________________________________ Nuriko fidgeted on the couch he and some of the others were sitting on. The empress Usagi's strange friends from the future, her four guards, Miaka, and the known constellations of Suzaku were seated or standing around the room, awaiting some big announcement. It seemed, by her guilty countenance, that Usagi's blue-haired friend Ami already knew something. And Hotohori didn't look the least bit curious. In fact, he was smiling more than the purple-haired crossdresser had ever seen him smile. Something was up, and Nuriko did *not* have a good feeling about it. "Stop fidgeting, you're making me nervous, no da!" Chichiri said, frowning at him as he nervously played with the beads on his necklace. "You're not so calm yourself," Nuriko pointed out. "That's because you're distracting me from my calming meditation exercises. No da," the monk said, slightly annoyed. "What do you think this is about?" Nuriko heard one of Usagi's friends, the one called Haruka, ask. "I hope there's nothing wrong with little koneko-chan. She's been so different since she got back from China." Beside her Michiru nodded her agreement. Finally Usagi, drinking a can of the oddly bubbly future drink called Mello yellow, walked into the room. She shot a nervous smile at Hotohori who grinned excitedly back at her. The young empress took a deep breath and set her drink down. "Well, I guess you're all wondering why I called you here today," she began. "The big secret I have to tell you is that..." She blushed. "Well, I'm going to have a baby." "You're WHAT???" the ravenhaired girl named Rei asked, jumping up from her seat on a beanbag. Usagi smiled and nodded happily. A slow rage began to fill Nuriko and he fought hard against the desire to jump up and kill the empress. So now she was carrying Hotohori's child, was she? Nuriko's hands twitched, wanting to go around the blonde girl's neck and strangle every ounce of life out of her. Chichiri shot him a look, then stood up. "This is great news, no da!" he said happily. "Congratulations! No da!" "This is so great!" Miaka exclaimed. "Now Hong-Nan will be safe because the line will continue." "Are you all INSANE?" Rei demanded. "This is *not* great, this is horrible! Usagi, what were you thinking? How could you have gone and done something like this? You can't have a baby! You aren't even married." "Yes, I am." That stopped the young priestess short. "Y..You are? To who?" "Hotohori." All of Usagi's friends eyes fell on the beautiful emperor of Hong-Nan who, though used to being stared at, shifted uncomfortably. "Nice job, Usa-chan!" Minako laughed. "But you were only gone a month!" Rei protested. (Remember, she was in modern day China a month before Selenity sent her to the past.) "Well, actually, it was a little more than that, Puu just sent me back a little." "You two can't honestly be in love!" "Yes, we are. Maybe we weren't at first, but we are now." Rei snorted. "What did you do, marry the first guy you met?" "Actually, yeah..." Usagi lowered her eyes, beginning to crack under her friend's yelling. "Gee, Rei, you don't have to get so angry.." "Angry? ANGRY?? I am beyond angry! Usagi, you are the most selfish, irresponsible person I have ever met! How could you go and get married to someone who died hundreds of years ago! Baka odango! Don't you ever think?? What is this going to do to everyone's futures? Did you even consider what it could mean to the rest of us??" As she continued to yell and scream, the constellations and Miaka stared. Yeah, they knew that they were in the future, and they knew Usagi hadn't exactly mentioned to her friends that she was the empress of Hong-Nan, but they were used to thinking of her as their empress and to hear anyone talking to her like was just amazing. It made them all a little angry. Even Nuriko felt like doing something. No one can be angry at her for marrying Hotohori except me! The four generals also stared, wondering why their princess was taking that verbal abuse. Zoicite was about ready to kill every one of the Senshi and Kunzite was about to yell at Rei. Jaedite considered telepathically dropping something heavy on the fire Senshi's head, and Nephrite was about to do something that could get him arrested no matter which timeline he was in. Through it all the senshi watched, unable to decide whose side to take. Finally, just a moment before someone stepped in, Usagi stopped it. "Get out of this house," she ordered in an icy voice. "What?" "I sai, get out of this house. You won't even try understand, won't even attempt to listen, and I refuse to stand here another moment. Get out and don't count on seeing me again. If I'm *that* much trouble then you can just forget about our friendship!" "Fine then." "Fine." "Fine!" "FINE!" __________________________________________________________________
