Hi, fic page mistress people. This is Ni, Kit's editor. She's on vacation as of this moment and I couldn't edit this in time for her to send it to you so, being the efficient insano she is, she requested in advance that I email you gals this chapter for her after I was done. Well, voila! Enjoy! ..goooo, Sixers! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Well, I got a very interesting E-mail telling me that I should get the next chapter of this out soon...so I guess I'm gonna. I don't want anyone to have a heart attack because of me. *giggles* Um...anyway, what did y'all think about the Seishi's reactions to our world? Heehee, that last chapter was really fun to write. I have a major surprise coming up soon so hang on, 'cause this thing isn't anywhere near finished! I own nothing and I have no money. Leave me alone. *giggles again* Me not grouchy today. Oh! BTW, check out my new fic, "Watashi no Shukumei," and tell me what you think of it. I haven't gotten any feedback for it yet (except from Ni, but she doesn't count.. sorry). Oh yeah, I might be grounded from the computer soon, for a long time, just because I made a C in Geometry. If that is the case, please don't be mad at me. Searching Part nine ____________________________________________________________________ "Seiya!" Usagi screeched. Before Hotohori knew it, his wife was hugging the stranger. He narrowed his eyes and watched them, wishing he had his sword with him. Two other men came behind the first and Usagi hugged them, too. Now Hotohori was getting even more angry. He stepped forward to do something just as Usagi detached herself from the strangers. "What are you guys doing on Earth?" she asked. "I thought you went back to your planet." "Well, we did," the one named Seiya said. "But it was too different then we remembered it being, so Fireball let us come back here. Gosh, odango, it's so good to see you again. You look so different. Still as beautiful as always though." Usagi snorted. "Whatever. Oh! I almost forgot! Guys, this is Hotohori. Hoto, these are some friends of mine; Seyia, Yaten, and Taiki." Hotohori frowned as the boys moved their gazes to him. They glared back in return. Usagi, however, didn't seem to notice the tension. She took hold of Hotohori's hand and he looked at her, anger deflating. "So, Usagi, I heard you went to China," Seiya said, desperately trying to get her attention back on him. "Back already?" "You could say that," Usagi laughed a little nervously. Suddenly there was a screech. "Oh my gosh, it's the Three Lights!" someone screamed. The boys' faces fell. "Um, we better go," Taiki said quickly. The three made a dash for it, chased by several screaming schoolgirls. Usagi smiled and shook her head. "Well, it was nice to see them again," she said. Hotohori frowned again, staring at the direction in which they had run. This time, Usagi did notice. "Hoto? What's wrong? Are you okay?" "How do you feel about them?" "Huh?" "Those boys, especially Seiya, how do you feel about them?" "They're my friends." "Usa, I know you do not love me but-" "Wait wait wait! Hoto..." She pulled him behind a grocery aisle. "Whoever told you I didn't love you?" she asked, smiling. "I know I never actually said it, but I thought you knew... Oh, Hoto!" She wrapped her arms around him, giggling. All his worries disappeared. "Usagi..." "Alright, you two kids, stop that, this is a public place!" an old man said, prying them apart with his cane. "You should be ashamed of yourselves. Kids these days don't know what love is and they don't know how to behave. Why, if I were your father..." Usagi and Hotohori rushed away, laughing. "You getting hungry, Hoto? We can stop somewhere if you want," Usagi offered, getting into the car a short time later. "Are you hungry?" he returned. "No, in fact, the thought of food makes me sick." "Then we shall not stop. Usa, I must admit, I am a bit worried. Your eating habits have been strange lately. Are you getting sick?" "I don't think so." Usagi started the car, an odd frown on her face. "If Ami is still at the shrine, I'll have her scan me, okay? Don't worry." "One must always worry about the one he loves." Hotohori picked up her hand and kissed her palm. "I would not wish for you to be sick." "I'm sure it's nothing." ____________________________________________________________________ "It's something Ami! It has to be something!" Usagi whispered fiercely, pulling her friend into one of the shrine's many rooms. Always the practical one, Ami sat and calmly pulled out her mini-computer. "Do you have any idea about what it might be?" "I might but..I don't wanna think it in case it's not true. Scan me." "Let me get into the program." "Hurry Ami!" The blue-haired girl typed, then held out the computer to Usagi. A blue light came from the screen and surrounded Usagi for a few moments, then went away. Ami turned the computer back to herself. "What does it say?" "It'll take a minute for it to process and.." Ami gasped. "No! It can't be!" "Lemme see!" Usagi grabbed the computer, smiling suddenly. "I knew it! This is too good to be true!" she squealed, twirling around with the computer clasped to her chest. "But, Usagi-chan, how did this happen? I thought you were a-" "There's a perfectly good explanation." "Oh? Do you know who the father is?" Ami raised an eyebrow doubtfully. "Of course I do. He's my husband." "H..hu...hus.." "Yes! Ami, you can't tell anyone about this, okay? I want it to be a surprise." "Oh, it'll be a surprise, alright," she replied dryly. "Promise you won't tell?" Usagi held out her pinky finger. "Alright, I promise. Who *is* the father though?" There came a knock at the door and a frowning Nuriko stuck his head in. "Emp- I mean Usagi, we're ready to go." "Okay, Nuriko." He left, muttering something about having to do everything. Usagi turned back to her friend. "I'll tell you later, when I tell everyone else. Gotta go. Bye, Ames!" "But, Usagi-" It was too late. She was already gone. ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ To be continued *evil laughter* Isn't this just the perfect place to stop?
