If you think I own either SM or Ranma you're wrong. Sorry. But maybe one

Changing Lives
Part one
______________________________________________________
Usagi sat in the senshi meeting, barley listening to what was going on.
She was so happy. Everyone was together and no one was fighting and Mamoru
loved her. Those were good things, and she could believe them forever as long
as she ignored the mean comments her friends made when she messed up, or the
longing looks that sometimes passed between Mamo and Rei. It was willful
ignorance. She didn't want anything to change, it was perfect, but that's the
thing. When everything seems perfect, it isn't. When it seems as if
everything in your life is all planned out forever and ever, something
happened to change it all. Yup, that's the thing all right, but Usagi wasn't
thinking about that, she was thinking about her upcoming vacation.
"Usagi! Were you listening to me?"
"Huh? Sorry Rei-chan, could you repeat that?"
Rei rolled her eyes. "I asked how long you'll be in China."
"Oh, a few weeks. Dad has to meet with a potential client for his work
'ya know, so that'll take awhile, and my Mom wants to stop by an old friend's
place. Hope you all will be ok without me for so long."
The room burst into hysterical laughter. Usagi smiled, convincing herself
that she'd made a joke instead of being the joke. Nevertheless, she still
felt a little hurt. she thought, Then, thinking all was settled, she went back to
her daydreams and illusions of her "perfect" life.

Usagi walked along the bank of the pool, dreaming. She was in China, and
they'd stopped at some training ground so her parents could talk to an old
family friend. she thought. She wished they'd brought Luna with
them, but her Mom had insisted that she let Minako take care of her. Of
course, it was much more relaxing not to be nagged by that cat every few
seconds. Now, back to thinking about Mamoru....
Unexpectedly, Usagi's ankle twisted. With a yell of pain and surprise,
she toppled into the cold water.
"Oh no!" The "old friend" who also happened to be the one who took care
of the spring jumped up at the sound of a yell followed by a loud splash.
"Some poor person fall is spring!"
"So?" Usagi's dad asked, sipping some tea. "They get a little wet. Big
deal."
"No big deal, you no understand, Kenji, springs is cursed. Whoever fall
in get curse."
"What do you mean?"
"Whoever fall in spring becomes whatever drown there last when splashed
with cold water. Is very bad. Hot water reverses it, but is only temporary."
More splashing was heard. "Now poor person is getting out of spring. Must go
help, explain curse." He turned and left and Usagi's parents followed.
Walking up the trail from the springs was a guy wearing a white tanktop
and a black miniskirt. He was gazing around in bewilderment. His eyes were
golden and his shoulder length, blonde hair was tied in two funny looking
ponytails. He spotted the three adults and his bottom lip trembled.
" Momma...."

Usagi sighed and threw her suitcase onto her bed. Some trip to China. She
wasn't looking forward to taking another one anytime soon. Her parent's
friend had explained the odd results of her...accident and had apologized
profoundly for the fact that she would no longer a normal teenager.
To bad she was never normal to begin with, and how her newly acquired
curse would affect her senshi duties, she didn't want to know. It had already
changed her life as it was. She'd had to cut her hair so that she could wear
it down or in a low ponytail without it touching the ground. Now it was down
to her hips. She hadn't had it that short in years. She couldn't wear dresses
very often, and if she did she had to make sure she carried a change of
clothes just in case, and on the trip back home she'd told her parents
everything about being a senshi.
They'd all agreed that it would be better if she found ways to avoid
fighting as much as possible. She was going to keep her curse a secret, and a
guy in one of those outfits....no way. Her parents had signed her up for
regular karate classes though, so that she could do a good job when she did
have to fight. Usagi regretted not telling her parents sooner. She pulled on
a large t-shirt and some baggy pants and went out for a walk. The moment she
stepped out of the house it began to rain. Her Mom stepped into the doorway
with an umbrella.
"Oh, your already wet."
"I'll take that anyway." Male-Usa said, laughing good naturedly.
"Where are you going?"
"The arcade."
"Well, don't talk to any strange men."
"Mom, right now, I am a strange man."
"Right," she looked up at his very tall frame, something odd in Tokyo.
"Well, then don't flirt with any girls."
"Eeeuuuu."
"Sorry dear, but your male form is handsome."
"Yeah, to bad he drowned, what was it? Five hundred years ago?"
"Something like that." Usagi's Mom still peered at him, thinking. "You
need an alibi."
"A what?"
" Something we can tell everyone. You are...your twin brother who has
been in America studying."
"And why have none of my friends met me before that?"
"Oh, baseball camp, things like that."
"So, what's my name?"
"You'll have to figure that out yourself. I'm no good at top of the head
names."
"Knowin me I'll end up with a name like Achoo or sumthin." Usagi said
dryly.
His mom laughed a little. There was an odd silence for a few moments then
Mrs. Tsukino looked up at the sky. "The weather channel said it'll be rainy a
lot this month. Some cold front coming in or something."
"I'll have to be careful then, ne?" Usagi opened his umbrella and stepped
off the porch. At the edge of the driveway he turned around and waved, then
was gone.
He took the familiar walk to the arcade in long strides, marveling at how
much he liked being so tall. People, especially girls turned to stare at him,
but he wasn't that surprised. His curse was extremely attractive. he thought, a wry smile twisting on his lips. The
curse could cause trouble though.
The bell over the doors of the arcade jingled merrily as Usagi stepped
in. As usual, everyone inside turned to see who had walked in, but this time
the looks lingered. A group of middle school girls giggled and began to
whisper, casting glances at him that made him uneasy. he blushed a little and went over to the
Sailor V video game. Before he could sit down though, his eye caught
something. A couple sitting in a booth, arms around each other, kissing. A
very familiar couple. Rei and Mamoru. Her/his boyfriend and one of her/his
best friends.
To be continued...

Howdy, I'm back. I want to do as much of this as possible so I don't lose
my ideas or get distracted by other things. Besides, there's nothing to do
today. Hmm hope this is long enough. Ranma people will be coming in soon,
have no fear. Um, in case you haven't noticed,
Soulmate
Part two

Usagi frowned, wanting to go up to them and demand an explanation
"Um, excuse me."
Usagi spun around, ready to pound whoever it was that had interrupted his
thoughts. There were three girls, all obviously enamored with him. One with
blue hair, one with blonde, and a tall one with a brown ponytail. The
remaining senshi.
Minako, the one who had spoken first, blushed. "Hi, we haven't seen you
before, are you new here?"
"Uh, sorta. I just got back from...studying abroad. Um...yeah."
Ami pushed forward, thrusting out her hand for a handshake. "Hi I'm Ami!"
She glanced to the other two girls who were a bit angry at her for that. "Oh,
and this is Minako and Mokoto."
"What was your name?" Mako asked innocently.
"Um...Urou. My name is Urou." He glanced over their heads where Mamoru
and Rei were getting up. The couple walked over to the group.
"Hi guys!" Rei said cheerfully then noticed 'Urou' "Oh, who's this?"
"I think I know a friend of yours." Urou said easily. "Do you know Usagi?"
"Yeah, we do!" Minako replied.
Urou watched in satisfaction as Mamoru's face paled. "I'm her brother."
"Umm..I just remembered I have a...appointment...or something to get to.
Bye-bye now." Mamoru said quickly. He hugged each of the girls and rushed out.
"That was odd." Ami muttered.
"Um, yeah." Rei cleared her throat.
"Do you know when Usa will be back from China?" Minako asked.
"She's already back."
"Good, I need to give her back her cat."
Urou glanced outside, the rain was slowing down. "Well, I need to be
getting on my way now."
"Wait!" Minako begged. "Can I have your phone number?"
"Baka, you already have it." Ami hissed through her teeth. "He's Usagi's
brother."
"Oh, right, but that doesn't mean he lives with them."
Urou snuck out while they were arguing over the odds he lived alone after
just coming back from another country.

Usagi cries hot, wet tears into her pillow. It was two months since her
trip to China, two months of hurt that just kept getting worse. At first, and
meetings and stuff, Rei and Mamoru were really nice to her. They'd go out of
their way to give her complements and uplift her. During that brief time
she'd ignored the pressing, and obvious clues about those two's feelings for
each other.
But not anymore.
After she'd missed most of the fights, and over half of the meetings, Rei
and Mamoru quit trying to cover up their attraction. The other senshi got
cold toward her, and they even stopped calling her when a fight arose. She'd
catch them talking about her more than she had before. "Oh, Usa is so
stupid," " you can't count on her for anything," " she's pretty; to bad there
isn't anything else to her," "She doesn't even try!"
Today was the final blow though. She'd managed to make it to a meeting
for the first time in weeks. When she walked into Rei's room everyone went
silent. No one spoke to her and when the meeting was over Mamoru pulled her
aside.
"Usa, I need a break," the first words any of them had said to her, and
those were it.
"Why?"
"We've been together so long, I want to try someone else. It isn't fair
that I have to be governed by a past that I don't even remember." He was
trying to be nice, he really was, but Usagi could see the disgust in his
eyes. Disgust for her.
"Rei?"
"I want to know if there is anything between us. We never got the chance
before."
"Oh I see, " Usa said quietly. "I'm holding you back."
"If nothing works out, I promise I'll take you back."
"Take this," she held up her hand, only the middle finger was upright.
She told him where he could go, then called him as many colorful names she
could think of, some he wasn't even aware she knew, then turned, her back
strait, and stalked off.
she thought. she
couldn't think of anything bad enough to call him.
Her bedroom door creaked. "Usa, honey? Are you ok?"
Usagi turned toward her Mom. "What do you think?" She'd blurted the whole
story when she'd gotten home, then locked herself in her room. She had been
alone in there, Minako never gave Luna back.
" Your father and I talked. We want to do whatever is necessary to help
you. "
"I have to get out of here."
Her mom nodded. "That's what we thought. Why don't you go and live with
my brother? It's still Tokyo, but a different district. You'd never even see
anyone from here."
"Doesn't he live in Nermia?"
"Uh huh." Mrs. Tsukino stoked her daughter's hair. "How does that sound?
He could set you up with a dojo so you could continue your training if you
want, and there are lots of schools to choose from. So? You want to go? No
one has to know where you are."
"Momma! It's perfect!" Usagi sat up and threw her arms around her mothers
neck. "When can I leave?"
"Tonight if you want. I already called your uncle. He can meet you at the
train station whenever you want."
"Call him then, tell him tonight, I'll only need time to pack." Usagi
jumped off her bed and went to her closet, lugging out a large duffle bag.
"I'll only take a little now, and you can send me more."
"I hope you don't mind," her mother said, sitting on the floor to help.
"but I told him about your curse. I thought he'd need to know."
Usagi nodded. "Was he surprised?"
"No, he...he said he know some people who could relate, whatever that
means. Oh, dear, don't forget your umbrella."

A very sore Ranma stepped into Dr. Tofu's office. He was in a very bad
mood, well, anyone would be after getting beat up by their fiance. he thought angrily. He cursed under his breath when he found
that the doctor was on the phone, and reluctantly took a seat. Finally Dr.
Tofu hung up and turned toward the young man.
"Ah Ranma, how are you tonight?"
Ranma grunted. "Who was on the phone?"
"My sister. My little niece is having some problems and she's going to
come and stay with me. She's interested in fighting, maybe you should train
her. Be some extra cash in your pocket."
"Then I wouldn't go broke everytime I talked to Nabiki." Ranma muttered.
"What the heck, why not?"
Dr. Tofu handed him a bottle of pain killers and smiled. "Good. She can
start tomorrow. I think I'll have her enrolled in your school as well."
"If you think I'm gonna play baby-sitter..."
"I don't think that. She and Akane could become friends. She's a very
sweet girl-"
"Very sweet means ugly in adult language."
"Now I can't say weather that's true or not, I haven't seen her in
years."
" Goody." he replied sarcastically.
"Will you train her or not?"
"Sure I guess."
"She'll come over tomorrow then, around four?"
"Whatever."
"Good. "
Ranma felt a sudden sense of dread, Dr. Tofu was hiding something
important about his niece. Before he could ask though, the older man was
pulling on his coat.
"Well, good-bye then."
"Where are you going?"
"Gotta go pick her up at the train station. Don't forget about tomorrow."
