This page is in memory of my Dad, Ralph Turpin
My Dad's story...
My dad was first diagnosed with lung cancer March 27th, 2001. That was a tough day for our family but Dad was determined to beat it so the fight started. Dad went thru chemo and radiation treatments. In September 2001 Dad went back to work. In November shortly after Thanksgiving Dad had problems and went back to the hospital. We got the bad news that the cancer had spread to his brain. So once again dad went thru more chemo and radiation.

One of dad's nurses told mom that she should have the family together for Christmas because it could be his last. So both me and my brother changed our plans and flew to Kentucky to spend Christmas with mom and dad. I am so glad we did that:) .

In June 2002 we found out the cancer had spread to Dad's bones. Mom and Dad moved back out to Arizona June 9th. It was just in time, because not much time went by before Dad starting getting worse. Thankfully we had Hospice Care for him and they were great to our entire family.

Dad lost his fight with Cancer August 5th, 2002.

www.alcase.org for more information on Lung Cancer and how to help fight it.

My hope for this web page is that it will be a place we can share our memories about my Dad and keep his memory alive. I know we all miss him very much. For me, being pregnant is making me miss him a whole lot right now. It's hard knowing that this baby will never have the chance to meet him.
This page will be under construction for a while. I want family and friends to have a say in what I put on this page. So if you have something to add please email it to me. Also please sign my guestbook so I know you have stopped by.
