Jonah is going to school today!
                                                              He is a big boy now!

                                        Jonah likes riding the big, yellow bus.  It
                                        bounces and rolls along to school.

                                        Other kids ride the bus too. Just like Jonah!
                                        But Jonah doesn't feel the same as the other kids.

                                        They talk and laugh together alot.  Jonah
                                        sits there quietly wishing he could join in too.

                                        But Jonah is Deaf.  He talks in sign language.
                                        Its sad that the other kids don't know
                                        Jonah's COOL way to talk with their hands!

                                        Jonah can do all the fun things the other kids
                                        like to do. He just has to find a way to tell
                                        them he's just like them!
 
 

                    Jonah likes his teacher alot. She's so nice!
                                         She let Jonah pick where he wanted to sit.

                                         At lunchtime she sat next to Jonah.
                                         She  smiled at him alot at school. He smiled too.

                                         Then at craft time, she helped Jonah glue eyes
                                         on his puppet to bring home to his mom.
