I wish this page never started, but it

no more Domestic Violence.

act of domestic violence, child abuse, or family violence.

As you read the stories of these battered women I have known, you must remember that what happened to each of them could have happened to you or to someone you love. There is nothing special about these women's personalities, no great single event in any of their lives that made them choose to love an abusive partner. Their histories are similar to those of other women, except for the terrible secret of abuse they tried to hide as they did their best to cope with the men in their lives, men who sometimes loved them and sometimes beat them.
