Good turns feature in the unit programme. At Christmas the girls visit two local homes for the elderly to entertain the residents and take gifts. At church they make the posies which are given out to the congregation at the Mothering Sunday service, and they write and read out their own prayers at two Parade services during the year.
The unit works closely with its own feeder Rainbow unit holding joint Christmas, Thinking Day and summer events. Besides working on challenge badges, indoor activities etc. the girls enjoy visits outside the meeting place to the Ecology Park at Urlay Nook, Preston Park and last year the County Courts in Middlesbrough.
