Rangers caters for girls for 14 upwards, at a busy stage in their lives. Rangers develop their own programme under the guidance of the Ranger Guider, to fit in with their individual circumstances. Rangers may also be Young Leaders, who have a regular weekly commitment to Rainbow, Brownie and Guide Units in the District.
Rangers follow the LOOK WIDER programme, which is divided into eight sections or octants. Each Octant deals with a different aspect of life. Following the scheme helps each girl to develop her individual potential.
1st Yarm Rangers meet regularly, though not weekly, as the Unit is flexible to fit in with public examinations and other demands on time.
