Indonesian bombs attack Islamic sect

In Indonesia's West Java province, mobs have damaged and ransacked almost two dozen houses and two mosques linked to an Islamic sect.

Police say there are no casualties.

Some 24 homes of members of the Ahmadiyah Islamic sect and two mosques were damaged in the attack in Manis Lor village.

Police say an investigation is now underway but no arrests have been made so far.

The violence follows the recent issuance of a decree by the local district administration which reiterated a ban on the sect.

The Ahmadiyah sect is outlawed in most of Indonesia but continues to exist in Java, Sumatra and the eastern islands.
