Power Usage

Lets start by looking at the power usage at the Sedona house.  Of course the house was rarely occupied until this year. Now with Gene & Shirley there we start getting a better idea of power usage.

This graph will be updated frequently and will become more useful as we acquire more data.

A quick glance at the graph suggests that 2 people could be supported by a 600kWh system until the summer arrives.

The winter heating at Sedona is by propane so the power curve shows no increase for heating, and if the solar heating systems work White Horse Mesa will require no power.  The air conditioning which does use power was turned on in July an probably accounts for some of the increase after this time along with increased occupancy.

More data is required to get a better estimate of present usage, and we would hope with more power efficient appliances we should be able to reduce the power budget. We will reevaluate the usage as we get more data, but for the moment lets design a system to provide 750kWh per month.
