***Epilogue***

After Devin said goodbye to Lauren, they have never gone a day without speaking to each other.  Devin was right—they did rack up a huge phone bill.  Lauren flew to Orlando to be with Devin for the last 2 weeks before their album came out.  Then they flew back to New York for their album signing and promotions for the album.  When Lauren and Joann went to their press conference in Los Angeles and a reporter asked the question “Do you have girlfriends,” guess which one said, “Yes.”

Lauren and Joann returned to New York to finish school.  Devin and the boys started to tour.  Although Lauren did miss him terribly, Devin flew in as much as he could whenever he had a couple of days off to be with her.  Sometimes, Brad and Rich would join him.  Lauren did the same thing when she had long weekends from school.  Lauren’s parents were a little concerned when she would fly off to be with some stranger, but Lauren did keep her GPA up, and introduced Devin to her parents when he came out.  Lauren’s mother is already dreaming up dress designs for a wedding—not that it will happen, yet.

Devin surprised Lauren with a vacation to the Bahamas for the New Year.  They kissed to the New Year under the fireworks of Paradise Island.

It has now been a year.  LFO did score a huge hit with “Summer Girls,” and it became a #1 single.  Their whirlwind success has led them to touring with top acts such as Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys.  And then have gotten two more top ten singles, as well as selling a couple of million albums. They will be going on tour for a major network for the summer.

Joann graduated with a communications degree at St. John’s University, and was offered a job at Electric Lady Studios, thanks to the connections of Mark Healy.  She happily accepted it, and is now into media relations.  She also wants to get into managing, and is hoping to get involved in some producing with Mark.  Joann is dating Mark Healy’s son, Anthony, for a few months now. He’s a law student at John Jay.

She’s now a regular at Veruka.

Lauren graduated with a degree in education at St. John’s University.  She accepted a job
teaching American History at her old high school.  Devin was there at graduation with
her parents, cheering when Lauren got her degree on stage.  She spent her summer on
tour with LFO, helping out in anyway, either selling t-shirts, or counting people as they
came in.  Most of all, she was there for Devin and the boys.  Joann even came out to join her for a week.  Their friendship is still as strong as ever.
