When I had the idea for A Second Chance, I wanted to put it down on paper, but was afraid to do so.  I had the beginning: a girl, through a friend who worked in the recording business, meets LFO during a recording session, but I didn’t know who to go about the rest.  I pondered the idea for a few weeks, wondering what should I do.  I thought about just the meeting of LFO, seeing the attraction between Lauren and Devin, and then leaving the rest to the thoughts of the readers, but I decided, that wouldn’t be too much fun to write :). So I figured, just to start writing and see what happened.  And I was right.  Once I put my hands to that keyboard, the ideas wouldn’t stop coming.  I had many different twists and turns in this story, so much so, that I actually had about 5 different manuscripts for A Second Chance. I decided that this was the best one to come up with.  You won’t believe the ideas that I had… but let’s leave those for another possible fanfic in the works ;). I became a fan of LFO only this past summer.  I did know about them, before Devin even came into the picture; their 1st single sits proudly in my CD rack now.  But when I saw Devin, I thought, let’s give this group a chance, especially when I heard that voice of his, which can knock me through a freaking wall. The character of Lauren is somewhat autobiographical.  I did go to SJU, and the places that I described are actually true and real.  Electric Lady Studios, Mars 2112, and Veruka are honest places in NYC—I highly recommend Veruka, by the way, I have gone in there and it’s a wonderful place. The character of Joann is based on a real good friend of mine.  She’s reading this right now.  “Pizza,” thanks for being there, in this fanfic, and in reality.  You’re the best!  Well, that’s it for now… I am writing a sequel to A Second Chance, but its coming along real slow, so with work, it will probably be a couple of months before it gets published.  But I will tell you one thing, if you liked this one, you’ll LOVE the next one!
