Chapter 56: Everyone has their Arguments Three weeks later: Georgia Lauralee and the girls trudged onto the bus, after 4 hours of interviews and photo shoots. Their album was still at number one, meaning that the press was really requesting their presence. Riley had set up countless interviews, all asking the same questions. Riley had told them they were to break from the tour for a couple of days to shoot their next video when they finished their two shows in Orlando, also when Sandy and Catherine were to fly out. Lauralee flopped on the chair, rubbing her throat as it was raw from speaking for 4 straight hours, and Laura had gone to the cabinet to make them tea. “Where’s the tea bags?” Laura rummaged through the cabinet. “I didn’t touch them last,” Lauralee shrugged. “Someone must have…” Laura closed the cabinet and started to go the back, when she tripped over something. “Damnit!” she got up and looked at the floor. She noticed a pair of sneakers lying on the floor. “Bianca!” “Yeah?” Bianca yelled from the back of the bus. “What do you think this is a rummage sale? I almost killed myself on your shoes.” Bianca walked to the front. “Geez, sorry,” Bianca took them from Laura’s hands. “I didn’t know you were Miss Organization.” “Not when I almost sprained my ankle,” Laura looked around the bus. “In fact, this bus is a pig sty! Look at all of this stuff!” “You know, you aren’t exactly Mrs. Clean,” Bianca grabbed Laura’s shirts slung over the chair. “Chairs are for sitting, not for your personal hamper!” “Well fine then!” Laura grabbed the shirts and put them on her bunk. “There, satisfied! At least I didn’t make the back of the bus Bianca’s video game central!” “What the hell are you talking about?” Laura stomped to the back of the bus. “Well, lookie what we have here… video games all over the place, wires covering the floor. You know there are 5 other people on the bus, Bi. Can’t one of us watch TV every once in a while?” “What’s going on in here?” Elizabeth came out of the bathroom. “Just pointing out to her,” Laura motioned towards Bianca, “That the TV is for everyone, not her personal use.” "If you want to use the TV, then just say so! I will be more than happy to do something else! Liz, do I use the TV too much?” Bianca had her hands on her hips. “Well, you do…” Elizabeth started. “Oh great! Take her side!” Bianca threw her hands up in the air. “I didn’t say anything! I just said that you are a little controlling of the television.” “Well at least I don’t hog the bathroom!” “I don’t hog the bathroom!” “Come on Liz, no one spends 45 minutes in the shower. By the time I get in there, I’m taking an ice bath,” Laura rolled her eyes. “I can’t help it if I like to take long showers!” “Please, you could fill up a lake with your bath water,” Bianca said. Veronica walked into the argument. “Well, at least she does shower.” “What!” Bianca glared. “You play an hour of basketball, then come in here and sit in your sweaty clothes. The bus smells like a locker room!” “Excuse me, Miss ‘Leave My Make-up all over the Place.’ I feel like I’m living at Elizabeth Arden!” Bianca had her fists clenched. “Screw you!” “No, screw you!” Lauralee heard enough from the doorway. She walked in the back, where all of the girls were screaming at each other. She let out a whistle with her fingers. “What!” they all turned to her. “Enough!” Lauralee stepped in the middle of them. “Look, we’ve all had a long day… the last thing we need to do is fight over the stupidest shit!” “Who’s fighting? I just want to point out some things,” Laura said. “OK, look, we all need to set some ground rules on the bus. We’re gonna be on this bus for a while, so we better get used to it. First of all, everyone is responsible for her own stuff; you put it there, you clean it up. Next, if someone wants to watch TV, then we ask politely if we want to watch. And finally, we have a limit on time for the shower.” The girls looked at each other, then to Lauralee. “OK?” “Look, I’m sorry guys, I’m just tired is all, plus, I’m PMS-ing major,” Laura sighed. “Me too,” Bianca smiled. “Me too,” said Veronica and Elizabeth. “OK, group hug!” Lauralee smiled. The girls all hugged. “Now what do you say we all clean this bus up and have some tea.” The girls nodded and started to clean the bus. An hour later, the bus was gleaming, and the girls all sat around drinking tea. “That won’t be the first argument you know,” Bianca sighed. “Then we just take it as it comes,” Elizabeth took a sip from her cup. “We’re in a very cramped area, we just have to learn to respect each other’s space is all,” Laura reasoned. “It’s not going to get any easier,” Lauralee rolled her cup in her hands. “But we just have to compromise.” “Communication is key,” Veronica said in a guru-like voice. The girls laughed at her face, and Lauralee stood up. “I don’t know about y’all but I’m gonna get a little shuteye before we have sound check.” “I agree,” Laura yawned. They all headed to their bunks. Chapter 57 Contents Chapter 55 |
