Taking Me Down
by Alasdair Helm
It's grey outside, I'm lost.
Every minute I count the cost
of losing you to another,
like my heart, just doesn't matter.
It's etched upon my heart, this feeling
of loneliness and needing;
to be near you once again, feel your body next to mine.
It's cold inside my mind
'cause I've wasted too much time
believing that you loved me
when, in fact, you didn't know me.
I gave you heart and soul and now
I've nothing left to give you.
You took away my pride and threw my feelings to the wind.
The loneliness, I fear
is becoming hard to bear.
Accepting that it's over
is so hard for me to conquer.
there's no-one here for me to love;
nothing left to cling to.
All the dreams I had before are dancing nightmares on my mind.
