Kimberly's Day Care
* learned about space shuttles
* sang a song called, “The Space Shuttle”
(tune: “Up on a Housetop”)
* read, “Things That Go Zoom!”
* Wendy Watermelon puppet visited, she
asked us if we thought we would like to
ride in a space shuttle
* played with toy space shuttles
* practiced opposites up and down
flew our toy space shuttles and when
“Miss Kimberly” said up ~ we flew them
up high, and when she said down ~ we flew
them down low
*made a space shuttle kite
* played a game called “Blast Off!” we squatted
down and then counted backwards from 3 down,
when we reached one we jumped up and
pretended to “blast off”
* did Calendar Time and Weather Bear
