Kimberly's Day Care
Today we talked about manners. Topper Toast Puppet told us good manners are when we say, “please and thank you”. We talked about when we should say please and thank you. Other good manners are closing our mouths when we eat, covering our face when we cough or sneeze, and saying “excuse me”. The children had good manners today when they were good listeners. We practiced using good manners by setting a table with play foods and dishes and saying please and thank you when we pretended to pass foods. We talked about how important good manners are especially when we have guests over or we are visiting at someone’s house. Many of us will be able to practice our good manners at Thanksgiving dinner in a couple of weeks. We made a cute picture with a child’s face on it. Kimberly traced our hands and cut them out. We glued a tissue on the child’s nose and the hands over that. The picture said, “Cover your sneeze, please”. We said a rhyme about manners called, “I Know How to Use Good Manners”. We read a book called, “Excuse Me”. We did Calendar Time and Weather Bear, we had to put our rain coat on our Weather Bear.
