Kimberly's Day Care
Today we focused on squares. We used our Butterfly Color Display. The butterfly had brown squares on her wings today. We sang a song called, “I’m a Great Big Butterfly” (to the tune of “Mary had a Little Lamb”). We looked at the printed word “square” on a square shape. Topper Toast Puppet came and showed us a picture of cornbread. He said cornbread was a grain and grains help keep us healthy. For snack we had a square piece of cornbread. We laced a brown square lacing card. We danced around a square shape Kimberly taped on the floor. We did a shape recognition page and matched square shaped items. We read a book called, “Thanksgiving Day”. We worked with our Kitchen Math Manipulative. We put an orange pot on the square, three wooden spoons underneath the square, and a bowl next to the square. We did Calendar Time and Weather Bear.
