Today we began a unit on our 5 senses. We looked at a story prop called “What’s in the Kitchen?” We read about a little girl in her kitchen. We talked about what the little girl smelled, what she tasted, what she touched and what she could hear in her kitchen. It was a fun story. We used our ears to hear it! Topper Toast Puppet brought some kitchen tools that we used to play a game with. We played a game “What’s Under the Towel?“ We put our hands under a towel and tried to guess which kitchen tool we were feeling. We did a matching game with foods, we had to use our eyes and our seeing sense to figure out which cards matched. We worked with our Kitchen Math Manipulative and we matched bowls and spoons together. Your child should be bringing home Parent Note # 3 today. We did Calendar Time and Weather Bear. |
