Today we explored our sense of touch. We reviewed our story prop book, “What’s in the Kitchen?”. We talked about what things the girl touched in the book. She touched some wax paper. We tried to guess how it might feel and then Kimberly gave us a piece of wax paper and we touched it. We talked about things that we like to touch like puppies and soft blankets. We sang a song called “I Can Touch”, (To the tune of “Oh, My Darling Clementine”). We talked about things we should not touch, like things that are hot or sharp. We made a book called My five Senses.” Topper the Toast Puppet visited and we played a fun game where we reached into a bag and felt what was inside, we tried to guess what we were feeling with our hands before we saw it. Your child should be bringing home Parent Note # 4. We did Calendar Time and Weather Bear.
