Kimberly's Day Care
Today we focused on the color brown. We looked at our Raccoon Color Display. We saw the silly raccoon at the easel. He made brown paw prints. We looked at the printed word “brown”. We sang a song called, “The Raccoon Is Painting” (to the tune of “She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain.”) We painted a picture of a piece of toast with brown paint. There was a raccoon on the picture he had a brown chief’s hat on. Topper Toast Puppet helped us look for brown in our Caillou book. Look for brown in your books at home. We started working on our Kitchen Math Manipulative. This month’s manipulative has bowls, spoons, and pots. We tried to guess all the things we would do with it this month. We separated out all the brown spoons today. Your child should be bringing home Parent Note # 2. We did Calendar Time and Weather Bear.
