Kimberly's Day Care
October 12 ~ Tuesday
Today we talked about fossils. We read "Caillou's Dinosaur Day". In the book Caillou's mommy told him that dinosaur fossils are rocks that show us the shapes of bones. Some fossils are of dinosaurs that lived a long time ago. We sang a song called "If We Dig Into The Earth" (to the tune of "Do Your Ears Hang Low?"). We played with some ice that Kimberly froze some plastic pretend dinosaurs in. We waited for the ice to melt then played with the dinosaurs. We pressed some pretend dinosuar bones into some play dough and made some imprints like fossils. We colored some pictures of dinosaurs and when you hold thelm up to the light you can see their bones through the paper. We read a book called, "Human Skeletons". It was neat, you can see the bones glow in the dark. Patty the Pumpkin Puppet visited us and we did Calendar Time and Weather Bear.
